As a Wii U owner there are very few games that actually utilize the bottom screen for more than just displaying a minimap or your inventory

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why is the US currently obsessed with protein?
2·2 months agoFiber atleast you cant get too much of
You aren’t realistically ever getting too much protein either, unless you eat exclusively protein powder and very lean meat
I don’t understand the confusion. The remaster IS optional. It’s only required if you want to play the new DLC that is releasing
Underwhelmed is an understatement. The remaster traded the beautiful art direction of the original for shitty upscaled textures and ray tracing. I genuinely prefer the look of the original, let alone the much better performance. The original is playable on a potato (it even reaches 60fps on an overclocked Nintendo switch) and still looks great
Still baffles me how you can release music like that and then become a trump supporter

2·2 months agobecause I’ve never had the jack fail
Interesting, when I was still using wired headphones I’ve never had a jack survive the lifetime of the phone, and only on my Nexus 5 was I able to replace it
You basically just paraphrased that you can’t control your emotions, but how you react to them, proving the previous guys point.
Yeah, I liked some of their previous games (Edna bricht aus & Harvey’s neue Augen), but Deponia not so much

Technology@lemmy.world•New sodium-ion battery skips mechanical cooling with 97.9% efficiencyEnglish
1·2 months agoion. the table in the Na-ion article seems to use “1000W/kg” without a source, and it shows lithium as being about a third of that even though the Li-ion article quotes figures up to 10kW/kg.
seems the editors of the two articles aren’t cross-checking eachother.
No, it seems like you have zero idea what you are talking about and are confusing W/kg with Wh/kg, which are very different metrics

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a fun piece of free software I should learn to use this week?
11·2 months agoReal cad software (like Freecad or OpenSCAD if you want FOSS) would be more useful for 3d printing, unless you only plan to print useless plastic figurines

29·3 months agoI had to work in a grocery store for six months with ten years of web development and project management experience
That sucks, but long term that would have been an inevitable outcome anyway. Web development experience is becoming a useless skill on the job market, as you have learned from first hand experience finding a job

3·3 months agoAnd people need to set their lights to auto and leave them there 99.9% of the time
No, not 99.9% of the time. Many auto headlights will not turn on if it’s raining or foggy during daytime, since the light sensor is still detecting lots of light
And that’s how it should be. On Reddit you can not reply to people that blocked you, which many people abuse by blocking people they are arguing with so they have the “last word”

5·3 months agoWell, Safari is still a thing and has a five times higher market share than Firefox. If Firefox were the only competitor left standing their 3% market share would already not be enough for many companies to care

It also misses a ton of roadworks in my area, so it’s quite literally unusuable. More than half the time it will try to route me along a closed road
