I was joking, but that sounds stupid.

What’s going on with China? Some kind of longitude dependant system?

I think those did decently enough. Chowder ran it’s course (heh) after 3 seasons and Invader Zim was a victim of Nickelodeon meddling.

To my understanding, (I’m not a physicist) It’s not so much that they wouldn’t work in space as they’d be severely weakened upon entering our atmosphere. It would be both cheaper and more effective to simply use a conventional explosive than it would be to invent a sci-fi super weapon.

Anyone over the age of 10 will find it obnoxious and stupid. I know because I was 10 when I first saw it and thought it was funny, and then I had a birthday and I didn’t like it anymore.

Music rights are notoriously convoluted. It’s possible that TPCI doesn’t even own the theme anymore. (Or might not have to begin with. Believe it or not, that happens sometimes.) They’d probably be all over this if they did.
Yeah. And it turns out the oppressed class really does have a genetic inclination to violence.

I get what you’re trying to say, but I just wanted to point out that not every military job is boots on the ground killing people. They also have desk jobs and maintenance people and whatnot. Military bases employ a whole lot of people who will never see combat.
How about BNA: Brand New Animal using the last four episodes to shit all over its own moral? I’ve never seen a work of fiction do anything like that. I couldn’t look away, it was like a trainwreck.

Active communities. Some of the comms for my interests technically exist, in that they get one post every third month that gets 2 upvotes. Despite everything, these communities are still thriving on Reddit. Yet for whatever reason, any attempt to replicate them here fails. Smh
“If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice!”
Not even joking, I find myself quoting this all the time.
I don’t really understand why new reddit would generate more revenue than old reddit. This is kinda a baffling change all around.
If Lemmy had the user base for it, I’d love to give up on Reddit entirely and not give them the satisfaction. Alas, if I want to see detailed write ups for strategies in a video game, I have to use it.

That’s not the point of what he’s saying. You’d be hard pressed to find any human experience that was had by exactly 1 person in history. He’s saying that this is more appealing than starting with “Let’s make looter shooter with co-op #58369158”.
Also if you’ve got 30 minutes to spare, I’ll suggest you watch Jacob Geller’s video essay “A Thousand Ways of Seeing a Forest”. Here you go. It explains this sort of thing way better than I have the ability to.

A work story is still a life experience, but if you want something else there’s plenty to work with. The iconic Chain Chomp enemies were inspired by a particularly nasty dog he’d walk past on the way home from school. The mean old dog would charge at him, sometimes coming inches away from biting him, but would be stopped by the chain keeping it in the yard.
The Legend of Zelda was inspired by his childhood, exploring the woods near his house.
He enjoys gardening, which inspired the setting of Pikmin.
Lastly, according to his Wikipedia page, he’s a “semi-professional” dog breeder. (I’m not sure what that means) which inspired Nintendogs.
Basically what he’s trying to say is that inspiration from one’s personal life is a more appealing starting point than what you think will make the most money.

I’m allowed to downvote for whatever reason I feel like, and you’re being super obnoxious right now so I downvoted you. Deal with it.

Bruh, I know how capitalism is killing us. That still doesn’t make him responsible for the actions of an entirely different person. Blame who actually did the thing.

You seem to be under the impression that Miyamoto is running Nintendo. Your anger at their legal practices should instead be directed at their actual president, Shuntaro Furukawa.

Thanks, I regret everything.
You can see this for yourself if you have one of those hoses with the multiple nozzle settings. I forget which setting I had it on, but I blew my own mind seeing a rainbow ring messing around with one as a kid.
