If you have the same opinion as the US state department that every sovereign country that succesfully defends itself against imperialism is a “criminal regime”, then you’re not in any way a serious anti-imperialist. In fact, you’re actively betraying the cause by helping to delegitimize the oppressed, which aids the oppressor.
I really hope so too. The fact that China seems to be quite invested in this is at least a good sign. To be honest, they absolutely should be, because regime change in Iran would be a major blow to the BRI, and further the US’ goal of containing China.
