If I’m honest, it really feels like a LOT of media got suddenly worse some time in the 2010s in general. TV, movies, big budget games - I know enshittification is a thing in every industry, but it feels like there was a major quality drop in such a short period of time.

There are obviously some exceptions, but it’s like a switch was flipped, and my interest was gone. GoT was one that carried on for a while, but then it succumbed to it too.

It still doesn’t rule it out admittedly, but yeah, I think it’s just a weird angle either way. I did some searching for “professor X finds someone in overturned car”, and “James McAvoy wheelchair behind the scenes” to try to find the shot, but I haven’t had any luck.

edit: the smile does seem a bit perfect. It could even be a normal shot where someone just edited the expression. AI investigating is starting to feel like a losing battle.

  • I use Jellyfin for simplicity, which probably isn’t the most preferred service for music, but it doesn’t really matter if you’re accessing it from your choice of mobile app anyway. You can set it up to stream your music library to your phone anywhere if you want also. (Android Auto even has an app)

I’m not confident enough to open up my media server to the outside world yet because I’m still a noob at this stuff, so I just have my full library when I’m at home and anything I’ve downloaded to my phone while I’m out.

You can even set up family sharing - you just give them a login, and they have access to all the same music.
