Games@lemmy.world•Is the Ocarina of Time remake going to have Master Quest?English
7·7 days agoIn terms of difficulty it goes:
Master Quest (N64)>Master Quest (3DS)>Original (N64)>Original (3DS)
Master Quest is mechanically more difficult with additions to some fights and changes to the items. The 3DS versions are easier than N64 primarily because they modernize the controls in a way that involves less fucking around with menus but also some quality of life improvements (namely the iron boots)
As to how much of the Original vs Master Quest will be in the new game? Hard to say. I would expect that the new game keeps the core dungeons and temples but within them expands the scope while also adding more mini games and probably a few new areas and side quests. Assuming it follows a normal Nintendo remake pattern

Games@lemmy.world•Is the Switch 2 worth it or a waste of money?English
51·3 months agoI have both an OLED Switch and a Switch 2. If you don’t have any other consoles then I’d say a Switch 2 is worth it. It’s getting a lot of games the Switch 1 couldn’t play and combined with the Switch 1 library there’s a lot of really great games. If you have a Switch already then I’d say it’s probably not worth it. Likewise if you have a PS4/5 I’d recommend playing games on that over getting a Switch 2. However having a portable “home” console is a really nice feature. Something to consider is unlike the past it looks like Switches will get more expensive in the short term rather than cheaper
In terms of games: DK Bonanza is a slightly worse Mario Odyssey, which is still a really good game! Kirby Air Ride is just ok. Mario Kart world is worse than 8 and Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Pokopia and Tamodachi are supposed to be excellent for people who like those games. Outside of that basically everything else is available on other systems

6·3 months agoOh interesting, I wonder if the cause is something else then? I do know a lot of left handed people end up learning how to do some physical activities right handed because it’s easier but I doubt that would be enough to make their right leg stronger

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL Humans have a tendency to walk counterclockwise over walking clockwiseEnglish
32·3 months agoMy assumption for this would be that the majority of humans are right-side dominant. So they tend to lead with their right foot and their right leg is probably stronger meaning they tend to take marginally larger steps on the right leading to a counterclockwise gait
Similarly to the OP, I was told in Boy Scouts that if you’re lost in the woods you need to stay where you are because if you do try to walk out you’ll likely just go in circles and be harder to find

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Did you hold a seance or ritual? What are your experiences?English
10·3 months agoI went to a party once where the main event was a “medium” doing a large group (~15) reading. It was painful to sit through. I remember it taking a little over 2 hours and this dude just kept fishing for something to latch onto so he could do his thing. He had a couple people kinda go along but he pushed them away when they weren’t perfectly aligned with what he was looking for. I am familiar with public speaking and tried teeing him up with answers and even that didn’t work. I was looking for a way to politely leave when it finally wrapped up
I was already a sceptic thinking most mediums are bullshit artists and this only further solidified my views, as much as I tried to be open minded
