  • the craziest thing is how you’ll be prowling around wikipedia and find some entry about an unknown 14th century ruler who was physically deformed and couldn’t string a coherent sentence together.

and you laugh: look at those uneducated, slobby 14th century citizens who went with the flow of things.

then you see an interview with RFK jr. and you wave it away, because even if you notice how much he fits the profile, you think to yourself: “there’s someone in charge who would prevent this in 2026,” and get back to your tiktok feed of blonde influencers in nondescript luxury apartments showing off their morning routine.

"things are normal’, you keep telling yourself. there’s someone in charge who knows what they’re doing–some higher power to guide us.

nah, it’s only _______. but we’re not allowed to say that word.

  • what’s the difference?

people need to stop holding individuals on a pedestal because of wealth/status.

if i came up with the idea for the first internet payment processor, it doesn’t mean i know jack fucking shit about anything else in life–it just means i had a good idea; it means i was in the right place at the right time; i was there with the right amount of cash to take advantage of the situation.

i don’t care about your opinions on the environment or history or the future of mankind any more than i do the ones coming from the fingers of every know-nothing on social media.

the biggest question is: who the fuck made these people god, or at least the architects of the future, of humanity? did we have a vote on it?

it’s a satire on how women are demanding and expect men to change–even when they know the man’s flaws or vices beforehand–but men basically just expect a woman to be around. it’s an empowering fantasy. the reality is that the man would give up video games or play in secrecy because the alternative is to be lonely or pay child support.

  • costs that much to do nothing lol.

the clips i saw from those hearings are embarrassing and sum up everything wrong with our milquetoast government.

if this guy deserves to be in the position he’s in then ask him to name at least 10 valid reasons that the iran ‘war’ is more important than feeding poverty stricken american children. i put war in parenthesis since iran is incapable of fighting back since we’re 6k miles away.

as a bonus question ask him how long it’d take to drive a ford mustang that distance @ full throttle when considering an unlimited tank of gas. should be a cakewalk for someone in that position of power.

  • i’ve never been terrified of anything, except a fox. i watched that episode of x-files that featured the chupacabra and then encountered a fox out in the wild–you can imagine this loss of suburban innocence if you think hard about it and use your imagination. now, a typical fox looks nothing like a mexican goatsucker (maybe if it was bulked up with cans of goya black beans and had bigger teeth) but it put the scare into me because i had only encountered the occasional groundhog and stray cat at night; back then you didn’t see too many bums around.

one of those stray cats used to come around a lot and i named it ‘sugar’ because it was stark white and that song fly was on the radio a lot, the one by that band sugar ray. and after it hung around for awhile (i would leave out bush’s baked beans in a tupperware container because i felt bad) it became part of the family. i renamed it ‘yeti’ because i thought sugar was too homoerotic but that’s for another post.

  • i thought i was paranoid for feeling this way. it if isn’t the obvious surveillance, it’s the security guard standing near the front or the employees scrutinizing you.

this phenomena is most extreme at stores like burlington/marshalls, where they’ll often rope off the entrance and have an employee dressed up like a swat team member to discourage criminal activity.

old man take: you used to only see this bullshit at stores in the worst neighborhoods and that only started popping up around the crash of 2008.

not a leftist or a tankie but america has probably caused more distress to immigrant women in the last year than north korea has caused in its entire existence.

think of the pain of every immigrant wife/mother/daughter in america as either they or their loved ones have been hauled away to who knows where.

really weird pearl clutching going on here.
