My cousin has a similar one, but it’s “try anything twice”. Often times your first experience in something may be rough but the second go around can be significantly better. Or in the case of food, sometimes the first time you tried it was from someone who didn’t know how to do the dish justice, or bad ingredients put into it.

Still going through Hitman achievements. Got the rest of Hitman 1 except Colorado, which I’m really putting off. I’m now doing Hitman 2. I’ll get to Colorado eventually.

Easily one of my favourite PF songs. Which is saying something because I have a lot of favourites from them but that one stands out.

I don’t have a single favourite, but a few recent favourites, from my current favourite artist, Jesse Welles:

Fantastic game, I need to replay it soon.

I’m jealous. I’ve played it so much I have all the puzzles memorized. I wish I could be challenged by it again. I miss those days.

Sort of? The main campaign is playable but not the other game modes, and you can’t progress location mastery or get unlocks. The game also differentiates offline and online save files and you can’t go between them. It’s by far my least favourite part of this game. It’s one of my all time favourites but the online semi-requirement is awful. I really wish they’d change it.

Got through all the Hitman 3 mastery achievements and half the Hitman 1 ones. Gonna finish 1 and then go on to 2.

I like cold pizza, but I’d still prefer it slightly heated to room temperature. Can’t say I’ve tried the other one, though.

If by cold food you mean room temperature food then I definitely agree. Doesn’t bother me in the least. But if you mean fridge cold, most times I’ll want to heat it at least to room temperature first.

“Twin” is slang for “friend”, and that grammar is very common in the types of conversations that use twin in that way. This is pretty typical conversation among ~20 year olds.

Definitely give it a try. And if you really like it, try modding it too. It’s insane how big the modding scene is for Skyrim.

Elder Scrolls games are the obvious pick, but they’re obvious for a reason. This is basically their whole deal. I found Skyrim to be especially good at this, even though I’d consider Oblivion to be the better game. I have about 5600 hours in Skyrim and less than 1000 in Oblivion despite preferring Oblivion, so that should say something about how easy it is to get lost in the world of Skyrim.

Fallout games will be similar to Elder Scrolls in that regard. Bethesda really is just good at that.

Elden Ring for sure, especially if you’re good at the game. I usually suck at video games but I’m surprisingly decent at soulslikes for some reason, and I just found hanging out in the world of Elden Ring and especially its DLC to be super immersive. If you keep dying over and over it might not be as engaging though.

2001: A Space Odyssey and HITMAN: World of Assassination. Well HITMAN already has a 2001 reference so I suppose it only makes sense, but I guess ICA contracts in outer space? Might be pretty interesting, or might be Moonraker: The Game/Movie depending on how they handle it. I’d definitely play/watch it though.

I get 2 per year so 36 would feel like unlimited.

The first time Bob Dylan brought out an electric guitar would be cool to be a part of, if nothing more than to see everyone freaking out (mostly booing and throwing stuff on stage, I believe).

Not really historical yet but any and every Jesse Welles concert I’ve missed so far. I’ve only seen him once so far and regret missing his first show close to me but plan to see him every time he comes nearby going forward, so long as I can afford it. Thankfully he’s not big enough yet for super expensive tickets, when I saw him the tickets were for a very reasonable price. It would be nice if he could go to some smaller cities or towns close by though, I hate big cities.

For classical, I’d absolutely love to see Horowitz performing Rachmaninoff’s 3rd piano concerto (Op. 30) with LSO/Coates in 1930. It’s my favourite recording of my favourite classical piece of music, but the audio quality is awful. Rachmaninoff was actually a friend of Horowitz and attended the show, and said that performance was the closest he had heard to what he had in his head when writing the piece. It was even closer to his original idea than what Rachmaninoff himself had done, and I believe Rachmaninoff stopped playing it live afterward, saying it had already been perfected and gave Horowitz his personal blessing to perform it on his behalf (not that he needed permission, but it was more symbolic than anything).

For what it’s worth, I played about 90 hours in the remastered and had a great time with it. Some people had performance issues which I think is where most of the negative press came from, but I never noticed it personally.
