Lower income, more driving, less fuel efficient cars, more sprawl, worse public transit.

So, were the oral arguments with the SCOTUS the straw that broke the camel’s back?
Trump walked out on the DOJ solicitor general yesterday because oral arguments didn’t appear to be going Trump’s way.

Since this is a federal case, wouldn’t that law enforcement responsibility roll into an agency that rolls into Trump?

And his excuse was because work was important. Which is exactly why everyone else wants this.

Cool thing about NPR is that they don’t do pay walls.

Ohhh farts.

This comment is factually incorrect on several levels.

Yeah, it’s pretty dense firn, but not quite “ice.”
It’s basically only good for grinding up and getting a base started. It’ll level out surfaces, cover rocks, etc.
It’s onto meant to shorten the time until opening day. The first snows firn are skiable sooner than the first snows on bare mountain.

Speaking for the protests in my area, organizers used them as a way to get people to sign up for local community action groups.
When ICE was deployed in our town a few weeks later, those email and phone lists triggered trainings, neighborhood watch signups, and a bunch of other shit.
My guess is that the good no kings events will be used in a similar way this week. Once people are gathered, organizers will use the opportunity to sign people up for more tactical stuff. ICE watching, election watching, door knocking, etc.
I miss those powermac cases with doors. Those were peak.

Jesus probably wouldn’t be super big on the flogging thing. More of a “den of thieves” table flipping guy.

The new testament is kind of the whole point of Christianity.

Good point. District 87 is smaller.
That said, the former GOP incumbent won by less than 40 votes. It’s a very purple district.

She performed 1.6% better than Harris, who also won that district. It’s a bump, but I’d feel a lot more comfortable if wars, ICE raids, expensive healthcare, election rigging and inflation was worth more than a 1.6% bump.
Especially since the party in power usually has lower turnout in off year elections.
Yeah, that tracks.
