you are an economist. eliminating zoning laws and HOAs would make construction of houses cheaper, saving lots of people lots of money, but the construction companies would be less profitable. do you argue in favor of unnecessarily complex building codes sothat the company stays profitable at the expense of the population?

eh, money is supposed to represent resources, and saying that money = hours, is to say that there is no other resource besides human labor. there is land usage, plant growth, mineralic reservoirs, etc.

my guess is because it’s a vulnerable area (lots of soft tissue directly behind it) and so it makes sense that your body says “ugh, no” when something touches it.

I’m pretty sure that we cut the umbilical cord too short after a baby is leaving the mother’s womb.

The umbilical cord’s remnants kinda wraps inward into the body, and if it’s cut short, it makes a hole later. Leaving it a bit longer would mean that it stays rather flat or sth.

also cats apparently chew on their children’s umbilical cord after birth to sever them. which i think if pretty cool. so archaic.

geopolitical stability is partially caused by a balance in technology level. england could only rape china and india in the 17th century because china and india were backwards ass farmer’s countries back then. they industrialized and eventually kicked the english people out. which is why china is so focused on industrialization today. they know what’s coming to countries who don’t have the mechanics to fight back.

which is why we need tax money being spent on the communal level. not the federal level. it’s the fed gov that spends it on the military, it’s the municipality that spends it on schools.
