The Democratic party is too big of a tent, trying to merge blue collar workers, academic hippies, and champagne liberals. It doesn’t work, it is failing as a party.

2. It can’t always be the carrot … sometimes it needs to be the stick.

Still, people eating too much meat.

You’re going to flip when you find out that some people eat 10 x 6oz of meat a day.

That’s the problem with the politics of the USA One group wants higher prices of meat, and gas. Laws about safe working conditions. Environmental laws about dumping chemicals.
Second group wants lower prices on everything, wants bigger trucks, bigger houses, overseas vacations 4x year, eat more meat.
Though they both complain, they’re complaining about two incompatible things.

10 years from now … North Dakota has separated from the United States and has used its nuclear weapons against the Cameroon city of Yaoundé. Few people could have predicated this.

Ireland looked like the rain forest in Vancouver 8,000 years ago, but all the trees were cut down. Now it is flat and windy.

The Aral sea, drainage, happened in just a few years.

The South West in the U.S.A., might be going dry.

The stick is on the column, you could still put seat belts on these just like back bench seats currently. Folding armrests as well. These already slide back/forth for the driver to reach the pedals.

Countries without auto manufacturers have better public transit.

It’s like a slow slide into civilization oblivion. Everything all at once seems to be getting worse. Housing costs are up, teaching salaries are down, kids aren’t learning as fast. Food prices, obesity, falling health standards. Oversized cars, suburban sprawl, lack of investment in public transportation. A.I. constantly giving wrong answers, doubling work.

This shouldn’t be called a ban. This should be called the Great Beautiful Clean Healthy Pizza Law.

People need to start going to jail for taking foreign money.

There should be an option of going to a simpler airshow. Planes takes off, circle the airfield and land, one after the other.

Things like this bug me. That’s the property tax for 20 people. That’s a month’s rent for 200 people. That’s a yearly wage for 5 people in Ontario.

Like you I’m not a huge fan of religious boards. But, I do think a city like Toronto needs to leverage language courses to be productive.

Ideally the TCDSB and the TDSB should be merged.
Then the trade colleges should be merged into the TDSB, like Humber and Seneca.

That way there is no gap for students. Kids don’t have to apply to enroll in a trade like truck driving, or car mechanic, or carpenter. These are just extra courses starting in high school. This way the entry into the trades is streamlined.

In a large city like Toronto, one of the city’s strengths is how many languages are spoken. This should be encouraged.

The TDSB and other large school boards in Ontario should really be expanded to teach truck driving. They already have the administrative faculty in place, so offering an extra course is not a big challenge.
Push the bad career colleges out.

Thanks for that write-up. It’s not an area of geopolitics I’m familiar with.
I’m sure that blocks are establishing themselves, and with everything happening now, alliances and such will accelerate.
