        My dad worked his ass off, spent most of it while doing so, ended up with nothing and didn’t know what to do with all the sparetime after being retired. Died a year of boredom later. I never wanted to end that sad and pathetic.

        Mostly referring to this.

          Ah okay, sorry. Though if you’d call that trauma, you haven’t seen trauma 😊

          It was sad to watch, but I was already 20yrs retired before he even thought about it. And called me lazy for that lol. He was a well conditioned boomer-worker-bee. Yet didn’t even manage a boomer-house by then. But still, life was all about working. Just because.

          Might’ve phrased it a bit off in hindsight.
