This is such a blatant example of how “law and order” rhetoric is most often simply a pivot to enabling fascism.

And this is an example of exactly why countries are withdrawing from the international courts. Those courts only exist to persecute the global south. Western powers blatantly break the law, but punish everyone else for the most minor infraction. It’s really disheartening, as the court’s mission is a good one.
