European leaders push back against Washington’s proposal for a broader security framework, warning that Moscow cannot dictate the continent’s future as US-led peace negotiations over Ukraine prepare to resume in Abu Dhabi.

Heh, trump does not care about unifying or saving Ukraine, he just cared about not wasting american military ressources going after a war that was just a failed attempt at expanding nato closer to Russian borders. If that happened, they would be able to sneak in covert military members far more easily.

I meant this as in, Trump has shown preferentialism for white nations as far as accords he has signed. Whilst Obama was trying in his time to negotiate the trans pacific partnership in his time, Trump has been avoiding people who do not have the same skin color as him. It speaks a lot on his intelligence imo.

Yes, we are soon about to find out if the system is truly as completely rigged as I think it is. Only truly naive people would ever believe that shadow money and deep state corruption only lives on one side of the ballot. When the odds are as fully and completely stacked in your favor as they are in the return-on-investment you get from political corruption, it doesn’t only just make sense to corrupt both sides, it would be absolutely blindingly stupid not to. Hedging your bets always pays off, and you win no matter what. It becomes impossible to lose. Which explains why nothing ever seems to change meaningfully. We get some theatrics and some token changes to maintain the illusion but nothing ever really changes, because picking the right party or the wrong party isn’t actually your issue.

You’re looking for a far more competent conspiracy than evidence shows ever has existed.

There’s definitely problems with many Democrats listening to the “political consulting class” and to rich donors, but a lot of the new ones elected are precisely those who are mad at those older politicians and donors, etc, who don’t intend to hold back. A lot of them are challenging Schumer in public right now.

If you want things to happen, go and publicly back the ones who are ready for a fight

Weird then that Russia, China and the US are all so concerned over what the EU is doing?

If the EU is a fading power what about the US who’s strength lay in the quality of their logistics matched with a vast array of potent allies? So much of their institutional knowledge has been lost, stripped out by a man who thought that testosterone levels made for a better military. Thats not to even mention the cimplete destruction of so many civilian institutions because of doge. All their allies goodwill has been pissed away because they looked at the sweetheart deals they were getting and demanded more and more and more. Their economy was bet entirely on AI.

Then what of Russia? It’s economy is bleeding out much like it’s military and diplomatically it has become a pariah.

China is doing better than Russia or the US by a considerable margin but it has it’s own problems and is staring down the barrel of demographic collapse.

The EU is not without it’s flaws but I find it strange in the current geopolitical landscape to look at the EU and declare it the fading power.

What needs to be remembered with the pedotator (thanks [email protected], I love it) is that his handlers work for the largest arms manufacturing companies / country in the world. Destabilizing shit is profit. Glad to see more and more of the world not putting up with the crap.

Ditch ‘NATO’ (It’s dead Jim) military spending requirements via % of GDP, Europe just needs enough the fend off a Russia that’s mostly spent on Ukraine (which should be heartily supported) for a few years until Putin inevitably gets defenestrated.

Two years of un-neutered Trump was enough to finally break Pax Americana, I guess we’re moving towards Pax Sino or whatever it gets called. Sure would be nice if the middle powers got together and headed that off. Much as I like the concept of the U.N. the veto powers hobble it as a true vehicle of international unity, maybe everyone should join the EU?

Here’s hoping the Dems actually keep the cheeto clown tied up in serious litigation and red tape for the next two years and the demented fool doesn’t get to release the nukes. Actually effective impeachment sure would be nice. Doesn’t he look tired?

Trump’s biggest complaint about NATO is the lack of spending commitments from other countries, but realistically why should the other powers spend money on defense when, entirely of their own volition, the US seems to cover it all? This is what the Republicans cannot answer, they chose to spend eye watering amounts of money on their own military, no one forced them to do this, they could have funded social care but instead they went with more bombs.

All of their complaints should be referred back to their own policy decisions.

The way I see it, the EU is building up its own defense industry, which it needs to do if they leave NATO. So one way or another, the defense spending needs to be up. Although leaving NATO would give more freedom in how to spend that money.

You would need to spend money on those drones and nukes, right? Maybe not to the same extent though.

An independent defense industry is mostly a separate matter imo. Even if you want to keep the militaries the same size, you still need to invest in the local industry for the sake of domestic production.

A lot of his decisions have basically just boiled down to “hand {soft power} directly to China.” Because the slimy sack doesn’t understand the concept of long-term planning and soft power. Hell, he doesn’t even understand quarterly business planning, because he bankrupts every business he gets his tiny mitts on.

Still not convinced that’s not what he’s doing on purpose. Thats what mob bosses would do around new York in the 70’s and 80s. I think it was called a bust out. Just he’s doing it with iran and russia.

Like he’s just got the Iranians to go along with it, or some group or iranians, and in the end they and kushner in sauid arabia get the gulf, with all of the US bases destroyed like the sand nations want. And with the entire conversation getting turned in the media into being about israel all the fucking time, they managed to get domestic support to stop wanting to funding them, so Israel would be out if the picture. And then now they’re just liquidating everything to the rich guys, with the bullshit stock manipulation and scams.

Half of those are due to cultural differences.

EVs, Americans wants big shiny difficult to build thing. Chinese wants small, simple, effective car.

Hence American EVs started with big stationwagons, while Chinese EVs began with small hatchbacks. Then they built the larger models after, ontop of the knowledge from the smaller builts.

Solar power, American power grids always favoured reliable production output and never had a boner on for renewables due to the peak and no production cycles. And arguably, the reason everyone is talking about renewables again is due to improvement within battery tech, which positions China nicely due to their willingness to exploit rare earth materials

More of a “back the fuck up” thing:

"Donald Trump spent Thursday lavishing praise on Xi Jinping, while the Chinese leader used his visit to the White House to deliver a power move with a warning for America to stay in its lane.

In front of Trump, and for the second time in four months, Xi urged the two countries to avoid the so-called “Thucydides Trap”—the historical theory that tensions between a rising power and an established one can spiral into war."
