    It’s a southern thing, it enrages them that the coasts respect European culture while considering them backwards hicks, and that europeans aren’t devoutly Christian like southerners believe everyone should be.

    The ruling class down there encourage this as an easily manufactured enemy to illustrate how evil a liberal atheist, moderately socialist culture is.

        He is from the Cincinnati area, which borders Kentucky, and he spent some of his youth in Kentucky. Not a proper southerner, but from the gradient where North becomes South.

      Thing is, even devoutly Christians in Europe can’t relate to their US equivalents. They’re way different.
