What are your thoughts on this yogthos? Seems to mr that israel is going to use the ethnic infighting caused by the headchoppers to pick apart syria.

That’s exactly what I’m expecting as well. Israel is doing a land grab cause Syria is destabilized. What will be interesting to see is how Turkey responds. Have they made a deal behind the scenes to carve up Syria or is Israel encroaching on what Turkey planned to control right now. If latter is the case then we might actually see a proxy war between Turkey and Israel in Syria in the near future.

I think its inevitably going to evolve into a proxy war between turkey and israel, since both projects claim the region as part of their respective neottomanist/greater israel project, we’ll see how it unfolds Turkey is in a weird spot.

It very well be all posturing by Turkey to just satisfy its nationalist base.

Yeah, definitely going to be interesting to watch. It’s worth noting that Syria itself is very factionalized as well right now, so there could just be a massive civil war where HTS gets overthrown. The impression I’m getting is that regime change in Syria is backfiring massively for the west. Russia was able to basically walk away, but now the place is incredibly volatile, and if Israel ends up getting mired there then the US will be forced to pour in resources to prop Israel up.

Not sure if it’s backfiring for them, US/israel benefit from the turmoil. Their resources are up for grabs pretty much, which i imagine they already took.

So basically the Druze are being used by Israel for a land grab.

I still don’t understand the role of some actors. Will Turkey actually clash with Israel? What about Kurdish resistance, are they aiding HTS, or will they try to maintain some distance from them? Will they fight Turkey? What about Assad’s brother, sponsored by Iran, will he try to regain territory amid the chaos?

And, is there a wedge between HTS and Israel? I know Israel supported ISIS and HTS, but the latter is also supported by the Saudi Monarchy, which also has its own imperialist interests.

Also, it seems Israel’s government is still betting in perpetual conflict to stay in power. How long will they will be able to sustain all these fronts without Israeli economy collapse?

I think Turkey will inevitably clash with Israel, i imagine it won’t happen until the US gets tied up with China. HTS seems to me more of a turkey puppet than american/israeli, with some israeli backed factions in there i guess.

Israel/US can keep doing this until the USD is dropped as a global reserve currency, the good news is that the more they abuse this power the more likely the world is to look for alternatives, no one likes having their international reserves dilluted.
