Why is Europe always so eager to jump in the firing line for the US? Is their ruling class really so captured by American interests?

I think it’s because EU’s colonialist and imperialist project is on life support, totally dependent on the US. If the US starts waning on the global stage, their quality of life colapses.

some of it is that, but i think a lot of this really is just being neck deep in unexamined ideology. which is to say, they’re european.

Basically the whole political education system in Europe is captured by US interests, and the ruling class is just as, if not more invested in the US economy vs their home economy.

Because of the political education the Washington Consensus is seen as the only reasonable path in political spheres. Dissent essentially doesn’t exist because everyone at high levels can’t even consider alternatives.

Von Der Leyen should let the belgian police investigate her multiple corruption affairs by letting them in in the tax-payer billed appartment she have inside the european commission building herself.

She should’ve used all tools to protect her horse, that way she wouldn’t have to wage a war on wolves
