In a good faith system these apps, the period tracking apps, any of this stuff would be great tools for the average person. We arent in a good faith system. People need to be keenly aware that you absolutely cannot trust who is going to access this information because the people legislating that access are oblivious or compromised and the punishments barely register because it’s usually just a fine that gets baked into cost of business.

Im lying if I said I wouldnt still be commenting there if the automod hadnt bugged out on me and created an unwarranted ban evasion death loop but the rage-engagement algorithm on reddit is becoming more and more apparent. I was never seeing actually good content from the subs I liked, i was only ever getting posts from the same handful of subreddits and only the shit that got the most comments.
Like not even good posts from those popular ones, ONLY the ones that were baiting people… and every municipal sub feels like a fuckiny psyop now. Any hot button issues and you get inundated by insane takes from obviously fake accounts that (before they removed viewable history) would just be coasting from sub to sub posting on the same topics (homelessness, trans rights, womens rights, immigration, etc)
Considering my first ever account years ago got banned for “report abuse” for reporting a comment about alleged jewish space lazers causing the hawaii fires… I think theyre relying hard on AI tools in the background that arent doing what theyre supposed to.
At least you had a chance to mouth off. I Got banned by a fucking automod glitch and I cant even report it because their ban evasion bot sends you into an automatic ban loop for any account you make.
Didnt even break any rules, they just rely on AI tools to do what should be human work and here we are.

True wealth is fairly quiet, just look how understated a Birkin bag is. No big logo, no patterned proprietary fabric. To me the posturing of luxury brand names in everyday aesthetic is very much a pissing contest/visual flex by people who dont understand that the really luxury shit is from places that make you wait to be invited before you can even buy it

Things ARE bad right now. We have a horrible wealth gap, we are deep into late stage capitalism, enshittification is rampant and climate change looms on our horizon
That said: do yourself a favour and learn more about terrible times in human history and the things people did to survive.
People have lived through horrible awful times and still found a way to continue on, find joy, survive, have small victories. I stopped spiraling out about how depressing the future looked when I learned more about the past… it shows you we are resilient. We are adaptible. We find a way. We WILL find a way. Just dont allow yourself to give into the despair–find the things you need to ground yourself, find your small victories, genuinely smell the roses and enjoy what you can. Look into taoism and concepts like finding inner peace among chaos. It helps a lot, trust.
Stay angry and stay vocal about our circumstances but dont let it steal the time you have on this earth, there is a lot here still to spark happiness and contentment.
I promise you a good stylist worth their salt would be devastated to give you a bad haircut even just accidentally… we WANT people to like our work, we want you to come back. Your hair looking good is our portfolio and word of mouth is our bread and butter. Plus a shitload of us are LGBTQ+ or allies anyways… hair is hair is hair regardless of who it is on and we are in the business of affirmation
