The data is there. Seems to company was just a middle man business between them and Iron Mountain, which I am pretty sure is one of those “pretty big companies a lot of people don’t know about.”

I once put a ton of effort into tracking down episodes and information of a random Spanish Telanovella I caught on the Spanish channel once. Including recording and digitizing episodes.
I don’t even speak Spanish at all at the time, the show just seemed interesting.
I’ve lso converted a bunch of old Zines from a UK school to PDF because a musician I like was involved and the only copies were behind some weird paywall magazine site. Bunch of print screens and a script to crop double pages to single pages then merge them together.
Maybe I should try putting them somewhere like archive.org.

How does that even work? Its not “North and South”, its racist idiots in the sticks and everyone else.

I feel like fucking with the election could actually be the trigger for more people to actually act and even march in mass on Waahington. Its the one thing I can think of that I would very likely go for.
It would basically be the final break for “Are we permenantly broken as a country.”

I am starting to thing this entire thing is some weird orchestrated pile of bull shit to get pwople to stop buyingPCs because its cheaper to use rented VMs with AI spyware built in. Just point your old “slow” compiter at the server in your browser (only spyware Chrome supported). Then they can DRM everytjing and charge subscriptions.

Yeah, 79 here. I kind of used to think Inwas Gen X but I am way way more millenial aligned in almost every view and way.

Sorry you had to learn this way.

Activision and Github are both part of the same company too. Maybe a different Git would have been better.

That sounds like some psycho ass soverign citizen type nonsense.

Was it? I assumed it had to do with birds.

Man, people cannot be trusted to just, “not be dicks”. There are dumb laws but there are also plenty that exist to protect people from assholes and idiots.

Nah, it’ll just think for a bit, decide trapped and gun are evil and reply with, “I’m sorry, this response breaks the response time like, please rephrase your question.”

Also today is Bandcamp Friday, Bandcamp does not take fees on purchases today.
Its pretty good at giving correct answers but god its slow and expensive. You gotta print and post like 2 million letters asking your question, wait for the concensus to be achived, wait for the comittee to conbein and compile the answer, then wait for the answer to come back.
They could at least streamline it a bit, maybe call instead of mailing the answer, and save a bit on the post by just having a dedicated radio signal that blasts the question to the entire population instead of having to send everyone a letter.
$500 for a ticket is wild. I think the worst I have gotten (when I first started driving 30 years ago) was like $200, and that was 25 over.
God I started a new long distance deive for work recently and its half on a rural highway. Like 10 tiny towns over arpund 60 miles.
Every one…
Outside speed limit is 55 mph
Hit town, 45 mph
30 feet later, 35 mph
2 blocks in the middle, 30 mph
Back to 35 mph
35 mph feels like it lasts riiiiiight up to the edge of the town.
And half the time the first drop going in and the 55mph sign going out are obscured by overgrown trees.
Its just designed to catch people traveling the corridor.
In my experience, Moths are more likely to get in yournface and other destructive and annoying activities.
Butterflies just sort of mill about minding their own business.

The core issue feels like the dead torrent problem.
Its distributed, so it needs to be hosted, by several locations. Which becomes probitive over time as.it becomes huge. Its also massively inefficient for what its trying to do.
At some point, its basically just one server farm somewhere hosting a glorified MySWL database that doubles as a space heater for the entire planet every time you need to add a row.
Not yet.
