I know for a fact that the algorithm retains data about your viewing preferences even after deleting watch history. After deleting mine it would still occasionally recommend something I’ve seen before and can pretty easily corral me back into whatever direction I had previously gone in. After having done this many times the videos became more random, so I think it keeps a few data points to “jump start” your viewing experience but they gradually change. If you reset your history and view as many random new videos as you can, rinse and repeat, they eventually use those those as starting points.

I started an IBEW apprenticeship and was so put off by the vibe/attitude of everyone I quit in the first week. Fuck that, I don’t care how much you pay me I’m not working outside in the heat getting literally and metaphorically roasted all day. If the state actually invested in things besides private prisons and locking people up for smoking a joint it wouldn’t be such a miserable backwards shithole but if the dirt roads leading to the redneck’s trailers out in the sticks were paved they wouldn’t have their trucks covered in mud every time they went into town and that would infringe on their cultural identity as tribal swamp people.

A solid half of the country is like that. Whiny stupid manchildren throwing a tantrum every election until they get daddy-issues Trump to inflict their malevolent ignorance and stupidity on everyone else, and little Nazi girls who think they’re women by supporting their misogynistic “men”. Living in a dumpy, moldy, cockroach infested trailer out in the boonies with broken down trucks and Fisher Price shit from Walmart paid for with welfare money littering the yard while their hellspawn Hitler Youth/future wageslaves/breeders for the rich run wild like rabid animals and have no empathy or manners because they can’t parent for shit and are on drugs. At least one of the girls will get pregnant and drop out of high school, and at least one of the boys will become a methhead and end up in prison. But it’s all OK because even though the schools may be defunded and subpar and the nearest rural hospital shuttered, there’s a baptist church every half mile for 50 miles so they have plenty of options when it comes to begging Jesus every Sunday to lift them out of poverty and get little Bobby off dope, which is clearly far better than voting for those awful DemonRats.
