What he said here is shit and I think it’s worthy of criticism, but I still think that his work is great and what he’s doing is great. Also, I get it. I get breaking down and just having A Moment about America, especially when your country is on the receiving end of imperialism. Yeah, it’s bleak here. I’m not a Ukrainian despite being born here - yes I have legal ties to this country and I speak the language and have lived here all my life, but the people feel alien to me, their culture is not mine and I do not intend to practice or remember anything from it, I don’t use the language to actually talk to people as I hate every moment I am forced to interact with them. It’s liberating knowing that I’m devoid of culture and nationality in a material sense, but also weird. I wonder if I would feel different had the things gone better.
