I’ve never heard any politician brag about raising taxes before. I would say our kids and grandkids will be really confused when they study this in history class, but it’s hard to imagine there will still be history classes when climate change makes the earth largely uninhabitable.

I’m American: my dad told me a couple years ago that immigrants were “unclean.” I’m almost 40, and that was the first time he’d ever used that phrase. That’s probably the first time I realized how “mainstream” extremism had become, since he has virtually zero online presence.

Agreed, that’s why I went with 2026. Right up until Election Day 2024 I imagine people were still planning families, but once all those kids are born in 2025 I expect a drop off.
