Never finished Brütal Legend, but I just want to say that I adore the main title screen, which is an FMV of Jack Black taking you to a “secret” part of a record shop to find the game as a gatefold vinyl, where the buttons are printed on the covers and sleeves and what not. Most charming game opening I experienced as a metal-obsessed kid.

anyone got tips for finding quality memes on mastodon? i love the philosophy of the service, but i have 0 interest in reading political takes from strangers all day, and right now it feels like all i see on the “trending” page is people complaining about politics. i just want to escape the bad news and laugh a little, not get mad at my phone anytime i open the app

loved everything about both games! the sequel is LONG, so it might take you a while. but it tells a great story :)

my only tiny gameplay gripe is the same gripe i had with god of war: ragnarok. if you’ve played both, you know what i mean. but that’s crawling into spoiler territory. also running around looking for resources gets a little tiring sometimes. enjoy your playthrough!

oh no god no greenlight was awful LMAO, i’m talking about before even that where whoever behind the scenes i assume looked through “hey we have this game we’d like to sell on steam” emails or something

take me back to when steam was curated by real human beings and there was quality control. anyway gamers will continue defending valve despite stories like this because they made a handful of good games 20 years ago and since then have been sitting on the skin gambling empire of parents’ unsupervised credit cards

i find it morbidly funny that steam looked at all the garbage asset flip titles that have completely overtaken their storefront since they opened the floodgates around 2018, and then they went “let’s get some more of that”
