OG Oblivion was super green. So much that the remaster, despite having natural lighting, looks brown in comparison.

I’ve seen people use AI to “write” technical documentation that I have had to review. That shit goes straight into the bin because the time I spend fixing all the AI nonsense is about the same amount of time it would take for me to write the document myself. It’s gotten to a point where I straight up reject all AI generated documentation because I know fixing them is a waste of time.
I imagine legal documents have to be at least as precise as technical documents, so if they’re checking the output I seriously doubt they’re saving any time or money by using AI.

I don’t know the specifics of how the law is implemented but the self driving levels are defined such that from SAE level 3 onward you may have a case against manufacturer. I haven’t kept up to date with Tesla SAE level but I imagine they’re still officially on level 2 because it lets them keep their hands clean.

I assumed you meant layers of fear 2 because the original layers of fear wasn’t even on Unreal Engine and Layers of fear 2 is on UE4. Nothing I said was explicitly wrong. It was wrong in the context only because you weren’t precise with what you’re saying.
And how nice of you to pick out the one thing I was wrong on while completely ignoring all the other examples. For instance how the fuck can you put Subnautica 2 on that list when it’s not even in early access?
GoodEye8@lemm.eeto Games@lemmy.world•[Digital Foundry] Oblivion Remastered PC: Impressive Remastering, Dire Performance ProblemsEnglish428·3 months agoWell that’s a pretty shit list. You have there games that aren’t using UE5 (Layers of Fear 2), that are known to have poor performance (STALKER 2), that just released into early access (Inzoi) and that haven’t even released into early access (Subnautica 2).
I’d throw half the list out the window, actually probably more because the other half of the list are mostly games I don’t know enough to evaluate their performance.
I’m terms of working hours it could get better. You might end up doing 0 hours a week, because you’ll be unemployed.

GoodEye8@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•I have used Windows all my life, and I have some questions.English21·3 months agoI disagree. Obviously the most ideal solution would be the have immutable Mint, but beginners need stability more than they do immutability. I’ve used mint and my only issue with Mint was that I didn’t like how it looked. I’m currently on Bazzite and these are the issues I’ve ran into:
Every time I start Firefox it asks to be made into the default browser. Even if I click yes it will still ask again next time I start Firefox.
When using the default audio sometimes the audio signal to my monitor cuts off which means I no audio comes from the speakers. If I tell the system to send the audio to my other monitor and back to the one I have hooked on the speakers then it instantly works again. It’s almost like the system forgets it has to send out audio. I don’t remember what I did to fix it but it definitely wasn’t beginner friendly.
Sometimes one of the monitors freezes and only one. The second monitor keeps working just fine. So far haven’t found a permanent solution for this issue.
There have also been some minor artifacting that I personally don’t consider an issue but someone else might.
Overall I can put up with the issues because I’ve pretty much conceded that I’m going to have issues. But I don’t think new users should be using a system where they’re going to run into problems they’re most likely not equipped to fix. That why I recommend Mint to newcomers because all the fancy bells and whistles don’t matter if the system doesn’t work. Mint doesn’t have bells and whistles, but it just works.

GoodEye8@lemm.eeto Technology@lemmy.world•OpenAI wants to buy Chrome and make it an “AI-first” experienceEnglish51·3 months agoThey don’t want to buy the browser. They want to buy the brand and the users. Chrome makes up over half the browser market. Think of all the data they could extract from Chrome users. It would cost significantly more to fork chromium and grow the user base to a point where they could extract anything valuable from them, and that’s assuming they’d be successful enough to make it happen.

Interestingly that’s the exact thing I loved about Hollow Knight. I got so immersed in the exploration specifically because I got lost. On my first playthrough I ended up sequence breaking the game and cleared out deepnest, ancient basin, hive and kingdoms end before the city of tears. I was way out of my depth and I loved every moment of it.
