How is it being logged publicly? Like OP said there is no specific subdomain registered in the DNS records (instead using a wildcard). Same for the SSL cert. Only things I can think of is the browser leaking the subdomains (through google or Microsoft) or the DNS queries themselves being logged and leaked. (Possibly by the ISP inspecting the traffic or logging and leaking on their own DNS servers?). I would hardly call either of those public.

They can’t force 4chan to implement age verification, or to implement geoblocks. They can issue fines if they feel like it, but they’re uncollectible.
The UK has every right to restrict their own residents access to things that are illegal internally. Just like how they have customs controls at their physical borders to prevent illegal physical items from being imported, they should have just blocked 4chan off the rip instead of trying to fine them.

I feel like I am missing something reading your comments, but it seems pretty clear to me that they do do business in the UK. They have users in the UK, to which they are providing a service (the 4chan message boards) in exchange for eyes on adverts placed on the page (from which 4chan makes money).
Just because this law is really stupid, and that 4chan does not have servers in the UK doesn’t really matter. UK laws can still be enforced for individuals in the UK (which is expressly what is stated in the message from ofcom). Ofcom is not demanding that age verification is implemented for all users world wide, but for UK users. 4Chan can decide to not comply (which I think is good), but then it is not surprising that if you keep doing business in the UK (not blocking UK users/IPs) that fines (which 4chan will just ignore as they are not UK based) and possible bans on your service in the UK follow.
I expect VPN + Aurora (or any other non Play store) will be enough to get around it

I am not saying that a government list like the one proposed in Ohio is good. I think it is terrible. But a list managed by an industry group where the keepers of the list are direct stakeholders of the list, while not beholdend to Freedom of Information requests, as suggested by the parent comment, is even worse.
Ah, maybe I misunderstood you. You said that it is not an issue of ghosting but of reneging on an agreement, while the parent comment had a clear example of reneging on an agreement. Also, as far as I know rescinded job offers are quite difficult to persue legally as contracts usually have some trial period where any side can cease the contract for any reason (or are completely at will). But I have never persued such action so I am not sure what the precedent is.

Sure, wasting peoples time is awful and should be avoided (from both sides). The thing is, coming in saying that any government list/database is inherently evil, so let’s have private companies do it instead is a take that is bound to invite some very heated arguments.
An industry list is a system that (I believe) is ripe for abuse.

Also, an industry blacklisting an individual does not have an even effect as a reciprocal list where companies with unfair hiring practices (such as ghost jobs that never get filled or ghosting applicants without explanation) get listed. If the effect would be the same (i.e. not being able to work in said field), then the sanction on a company would effectively be dissolution (difficult to run a company if you are not able to do any work in the field that your company specializes in).
I feel for you missing out on time with your family. I have myself also worked overtime because I was enthousiastic about a specific project or task, but part of choosing to work that overtime is accepting the risk that the time will not be successful or productive.
If this has happend multiple times, I would say, be less flexible in your planning, and don’t work overtime but spend time with your loved ones. (If you live in a jurisdiction where overtime is not defacto mandatory)

I disagree, it is great to use. Yes, some things are more difficult but as OP mentioned he wants to learn more, and running your own cluster for your services is an amazing way to learn k8s.

Plenty of IPv4 only networks still exist from which you would not be able to access the services. I am in a similar situation as OP with my offsite address being IPv6 + CGNAT IPv4 and my own address being IPv4 only.

Have you also tried making a subdomain and not making any requests to it yourself? So no browser access or other DNS resolution requests for the new subdomain. That should rule out some of the other possible causes suggested in the other comments.
