Kaity@leminal.spaceto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What does masturbating or having sex physically feel like to you guys?English47·9 months agoIt feels good physically, but sex is something much more emotionally, mentally, and socially important to me. It fulfills an intense desire for sexual intimacy and emotional bonding. I love to be touched, to intensely desire, and that intense desire matched by another for me. Feelings of fire and lightning deep inside, and bruises on the outside, pain, crying, and for a time my mind blank with bliss. For me, sexuality is a defining feature, I would not be me otherwise…
I would say however, if you are asexual and just don’t have these desires you aren’t missing out on much. Most of the benefits are “I get my needs fulfilled,” and if you live a satisfying life without having those needs to fill then there is not much lost, and maybe even something to gain.
No gloating, yes, and I am crying with you
well… you were wrong, but only because it was worse than expected.
Kaity@leminal.spaceto memes@lemmy.world•Have you heard about Blue Screen syndrome?English121·10 months agoUnfortunately as a linux user you may get stuck-on-post syndrome but there are widely available immunizations and treatments available.
Oh well I usually do just get the french/italian breads, I don’t usually swing for the higher end breads, though I got them once or and I recall them being fairly inexpensive but I don’t know what the actual cost was.
It’s usually a dollar a full loaf where I get it?
For us the deli bread lasts 3 days on average, the regular store bought bread lasts like actually forever but it’s awful so not worth it, the bread I made lasted more than a month. We did however store it in the fridge and I’m sure the recipe and how you handle it are critical.
That’s a great idea! maybe it’s not as hard as I thought… at least if I’m able to snag some starter :)
I’d love to get into it but I just don’t have the time to get past the initial start up. Plus after work I am just exhausted and I definitely don’t have the fortitude to make it a weekly ritual (not to mention we just don’t eat that much bread). Maybe someday though.
Sometimes I buy the bread lol. The bread just gets made into other things if nobody buys it. Sliced after the first day, made into croutons the day after or a number of other bread goodness like garlic bread or used to make those pre-packed subs, etc. Or it’s just tossed cause bread is cheap and making at the scale they make it makes it even cheaper.
By the way, if you have even a passing interest I recommend baking your own bread, unless you want sourdough and you don’t want to spend that effort cause sourdough is next level effort. But a basic white bread is extremely easy and tastes so good fresh and lasts for soooo much longer than the store made breads.
Kaity@leminal.spaceto Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•Logging created a checkerboard pattern in northern california...English3·11 months agoAssuming the fence has shared ownership between the owners of the properties it separates I’d say as long as you remain on the fence and only touch property A and D then it is not trespassing as you have shared ownership/permission for 50% of the fence so it’s your right to use the fence as you wish as long as there is no damage or you take responsibility for and repair that damage. the airspace exclusion should only apply for extended assisted travel in an aircraft or use of a drone. Honestly seems trivial to me, much more trivial even than retrieving an item a la a ball accidentally thrown too far.
But Ianal…

Kaity@leminal.spaceto A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Colorado teen shot in the face by town councilman after going to home to ask permission to take homecoming photosEnglish8·1 year agoGlad to know I can do anything and just say “oopsie” afterwards and you’ll be there to back me up.
EndeavourOS, Simply Arch with an installer, has KDE as an option for DE.
I use it, I love it. Arch is great. E-OS just cuts out the first few hours/days of set up.
Tor is already technically mentioned in anon’s post, as a fork of firefox, technically.
I was not technically a newbie since I had previously used ubuntu in the distant past (as if ubuntu would truly prepare someone for a more advanced distro), and probably a few others I can’t remember, but I came back with EndeavourOS and I’m having a great time. I did have a few challenges though I am fairly tech savvy and I knew what I was getting into so I was definitely not a regular novice.
After a single serious oopsie that bricked my system but I was able to fix I’ve been running a very stable system. I’ve kept with it for nearly 2 years now on my initial install with practically no issues, at least none I wasn’t willing and able to solve. I troubleshot an issue I was having with a package installation the other day without finding any help online and that made me proud of myself.
I would have considered myself a decent power user on windows, and I feel like a sub average arch user, but hey I get to learn and improve more now.
