Yeah, every sense of community I’ve ever felt with a job was also ruined by that same job. I don’t remotely miss it, and I’m firmly child-free.

Yeah, I see open world games as fancier tabletop games in most cases. Which isn’t a bad thing by any means.
“First two have two” is what made my brain trip and fall.
Going through these movies for the first time ever, and I just heard this quote last night. I finally get to say I understood that reference 😎
Oh my sweet summer child.
My sentiments exactly. I’m content to watch it burn to the ground.
Woooooosh
I’m able to predict when Holes, starring Shia Labeauf, is about to air on Disney Channel. If I have a strong desire to watch the movie, odds are it’s about to air. I was able to do this for years.
I no longer watch cable tv. This power is vestigial. Nowadays when I have a strong desire to watch Holes, I just watch Holes.
I hate the idea of more game stores because exclusives piss me off, and that’s the only viable tactic another store could use to get people to leave steam. When Netflix was all there was, it was great. We saw in real time how that shitshow ended. I had to bring out my old ship and chart new waters. I do not want to do this with my game library.
I like to point out that one of the first lessons the Bible teaches the reader is one of hierarchy and inherent supremacy over others. Eve is lesser to Adam, as all women should be to all men. Man is the dominator of the land, bending nature to his whims. All men are to worship a supreme being because he’s bigger, stronger, more powerful, and these are respected traits held by any authority. It’s baked into the values that some of us should be supreme to others, and the inherent violence of this philosophy can be used to justify wars and genocide, as has happened time and again.
Christianity is only good if you use confirmation bias to pick out the parts you like, but the whole text creates drones and fascists by design. I believe in God, but I would never in my life subscribe to Christian beliefs (not even getting into the open hostility the church has held against my particular section of belief throughout history that persists to this day).
It’s culture war bullshit. I assure you, a statistically significant portion of the right believes wholeheartedly that this is a good thing. It’s exactly what they voted for.
What did he mean by this
Oof. Kinda awkward, but…
*too
They may well lead to the thing that leads to the thing that leads to the thing that leads to AGI though. Where there’s a will
I just tried chatgpt with all of these failure points–a 5-letter word that fits alphabetically between amber and amble (ambit), a sentence that ends in the letter R (it ended with “door”), and a poem that rhymes (aabbccbb). These things appear to be getting ironed out quite quickly. I don’t think it’s much longer before we’ll have to make some serious concessions.
For the curious, I got two responses with different calculations and different answers as a result. So it could take anywhere from 1.5 to 7.5 billion butts to swarm mount everest. Again, I’m not checking the math because I got the answer I wanted.
Well yeah. I’m not gonna verify how many butts it takes to swarm mount everest, because that’s not worth my time. The robot’s answer is close enough to satisfy my curiosity.
I appreciate the reminder that beauty is subjective. It’s been a good while since I’ve seen an opinion so inflammatory that had nothing to do with politics.
I hope someone mods it back in.
Can confirm.
