You can patch RIF to use your own API key, and with normal use you won’t exceed Reddit’s free tier API call limit. I used this guide to patch Relay for Reddit, but it has all the required info for RIF as well:

Yeah, Podcast Addict is proprietary and ad driven, unless you pay. I grabbed a lifetime ad-free upgrade years ago when it was like two bucks.

On some level I agree with you, I generally love open source, and if AntennaPod had the feature I was looking for I would have switched, but I also don’t mind paying for software if it’s good and reasonably priced.

I’ve been using Podcast Addict for years, and when I tried to switch to AntennaPod, I couldn’t figure out how to configure it in such a way that I can listen to the back catalogue of a podcast in chronological order and have the app automatically download a rolling buffer of a small number of episodes. When I looked around online for solutions, I found a forum thread of someone who had the same issue, and the maintainers of the project responded with confusion and dismissal as to why anyone would need that functionality lol. So I’m still on Podcast Addict.

I disagree, I think this ban sets a bad precedent. What governments should do is pass stricter data protection laws, as well as banning the many addictive design patterns that manipulate people into scrolling for hours and hours. For example infinite scroll. Imagine how much less people would doom scroll if they had to manually click “yes, I want to continue to page 7 of my twitter feed”

Yeah, I’m really bad at structuring my writing and coming up with ways to phrase some things, especially when starting with a blank page. Having an existing base to work off of and edit helps me immensely.

But it is required that you organize your library directories by artist/album.

That’s what killed Jellyfin for me, I have like 6000 songs in a flat folder and I’m not gonna spend the time to reorganize all of that lol. Navidrome recognizes albums etc by tags, so that works better for me.

If you enjoy puzzle games then Baba is You, Snake Bird and Railbound will keep you busy for quite a while.

I don’t use mine super often but every time I do I’m glad I have it. It’s a very nifty machine, and you’ll find excuses to use it.

Modding a modding tool so you can mod more mods. Jokes aside this is really cool. I know Divinity OS2 had similar tools, but given how much more popular BG3 is there will likely be more substatial mods made for it.

I have to go with Chicory: A Colourful Tale. It starts of kind of slow, but the writing and character interactions sucked me in with heavy themes of self doubt and searching for a place in society, which are very well implemented in my opinion.

There are many games that are about overcoming depression as an overall theme, but it’s usually represented in a very metaphorical way and in doing so they kind of lose impactfulness, at least for me. Not here, Chicory straight up has depression, and you’re trying to help her out.

The game also has pleasant art and music, and it cleverly pokes at you to be creative at various points. It actually got me to buy a cheap drawing tablet and start playing around with art haha.

Overall just a really well made game that resonated with me on a level that no other game has.
