Idk why, but reading this reminds me of something that happened when I was in school a decade or so ago. This kid (he was in year 8 when I was in year 11) was chosen to play the piano in some sort of assembly and could play anything he wanted (within reason, or course). One break time, he plays what he wants to play for the assembly and plays this sort of bittersweet eerie tune. Turns out he was actually playing the Golden Axe theme, a game that was both before my time and his, yet we both knew this game from the (80’s? 90’s?)

(Out of curiosity, I googled the name of the games and wow, you were not kidding that there was no trace on the net, although I would advise you try different search engines, as different search engines return different results. Oh, and don’t forget the Internet archives…)

Wouldn’t know, haven’t seen it. Though I guess that may explain why someone would want to make a game of it.

Funnily enough, when I was doing research on this topic I discovered that someone else had made a similar game, presumably of the same scene, which may actually be playable…

I see what you mean. Unfortunately I don’t think the game works anymore and there are no play throughs recorded anywhere so we may never know the specific nature of the game. There’s instructions on the site how to install and play the game I might give it a go later, but I really don’t expect success.

Aughts is good too. Funny nobody thought to call the year 2007 ‘double-0 seven’. Man, what a missed opportunity.
