I do think we won’t ever see this kind of communist America with federal control, as the concept of America was a settler construct to begin with. I understand the logistical issue, but it’s important to understand many areas do have active indigenous presence that could lead governance and steward the land. Many areas have large ghettoized black populations that would be in their best interest to be able to govern the communities they understand and economies they do the labor for. The main idea is taking the settler out of the populace, the white out of the euro-american. Having black people teaching the schools and hiring people and otherwise leading society as to flip this relation on its head and nullify the benefits of white supremacy. Many people will move back to Europe in this process and the rest will either go along and contribute to a new society or need to be policed and prevented from interfering. It’ll largely depend on the specific areas and the forms of governance able to take power, and likely will be an ugly balkanization that deals mostly with preventing white supremacists from ruining society building projects, but this has always been inevitable.

It’s not necessarily that they can’t organize, I just think they’ve been trying to lead parties when the only really successful attempt at an ML communist party in America has been from the Black Panther Party and that’s for good reason. I see what EFF has been doing in South Africa to move on from some of the failures of the SACP which feel very similar to those of the CPUSA and I think it ought to be learned from. There are quite a few white people in the EFF as well, it’s just that they aren’t the majority in the org.

I mean, that’s what I believe. I don’t think settlers can’t participate but they need to be subjegated to the actual proletariat (ie join the PFLP and not Maki, the EFF not SACP) and focus on decolonial marxism and not a labor politics that ignores very real contradictions. When they lead a communist party, you have a party with labor aristocracy conciousness. Also, I don’t think Ive ever mentioned “starbucks leftists” like was claimed, no clue where that came from other than trying to make me out as a crypto conservative

“Progressive” what do you mean? Mexico has its own racial hierarchy. The reconquista would certainly not be supported by the natives living in the surrounding reservations/populations, as Mexico would to all evidence strip them of the little soverignty they have. Mexico attempting to claim native lands is 100% labensraum.

People need to educate themselves on the unique dynamics of white supremacy in Mexico. Just because a native married a slave owner to survive through a brutal caste system doesn’t mean their decendants are natives. Just because Mexico appropriates and distorts indigenous culture doesn’t mean actual native communities aren’t treated horribly. Replacing a white labensraum with pretendian labensraum isn’t progressive! That goes for Mexican nationalism and its extension of Atzlan which has wormed its way into “ML” orgs

I think the issue is in referring to Mexico as ever having it to be stolen in the first place. The land swapped hands from one colonizer to another, in revolution this doesn’t change that the entrapped indigenous would be the driving force of progressive change. There’s certainly something to be said about the expansionism and imperialism of the US even towards another settler colonial state, but the framing here implies that returning the land to the Mexican government would be progressive.

There is room for improvement, and Mexico is not once settler-colonial it is still settler colonial just like the US, with the poorest classes being the decendants of slaves and indigenous people who don’t even have the soverignity the US affords. Last will be first and a revolutionary Mexico would be created by these hyper exploited people so the entrapped nations within so called Mexico can be freed.

I would be wary of the idea of America stealing Mexico, both states are on stolen land. Kinda like saying Michigan is stolen Canada.

I will say I analyze it quite differently – Mexico’s state relies on the same settler colonialist system as the US, and thus would never dare lash out on the system that its entirely predicated on. Mexico would need to cease to be Mexico to be able to be anti-imperialist in a meaningful way.

I really suggest "Socialism With Chinese Characteristics a Guide for Foreigners " on this, the author was the first non-chinese employee at the school for marxism and knows Chinese and has read marx and lenin in their original languages and has a wide knowledge of Chinese socialism. Goes over a lot of the myths this guy seems to be falling for, namely the idea that Deng abandoned class struggle and purposefully took the capitalist road, ruining the project forever. Paired with its historical materialist analysis of China and deep knowledge of party history it offers so much more than any westerner that’s never been to China could offer. I have yet to learn the opinion of maoists in the third world (something that I’d like to learn a lot more about ) but this video was pretty ahistorical and western brained tbh
