Momentum is building. There has to be a critical mass for a movement like we are talking about to be effective.

I get your point but you’re also kinda arguing in bad faith. I don’t think anyone will dispute the noise to quality ratios, but you’re misrepresenting the point of the original post while simultaneously proving it. The barrier to information is almost non-existent in the modern age, making the pursuit of those fancies plausible.
If I want to know the history of the band Smash mouth I can look that up in literal seconds. Or if I want to know how to bake a souffle. Or if I want to find schematics for an exhaust fan.
Travel back to the 90s. Pick any subject. Step 1 to learning more about that subject involves travel and the juice is suddenly no longer worth the squeeze.
I love books as much as the next guy, but let’s not pretend that they are even remotely comparable to the Internet in regards to information access. My family had an Encyclopedia Britannica, they were great for summary on certain subjects but they were far from exhaustive.
Honestly it’s hard to even get in the mood. Everything related to the 4th this year feels like satire.
His wife is getting fucked and he’s asking for more. 'Round these parts we call that a cuck.
The news is that it did in fact work. You may think it’s very clever to point out the obvious effect, but stupid people (republicans) need to hear over and over again that these programs have a positive effect and aren’t just intended to impinge on their freedumbs.
It’s very likely that a gondola can actually hold double the weight it is rated for.
frankly, there isn’t that much to do for you in space as a layperson
That you can think of. That doesn’t mean it isn’t worth exploring. Plenty of backyard scientists do some crazy innovation.
It’s an invasion of people’s privacy when they feel most vulnerable. It’s no mystery why folk find it upsetting.
Fuck that. It’s ok to be scared, but try to fight back.
For Karl!
- Someday soon, America will burn.
I think about this almost daily. I have young kids and I’m terrified of the world they are growing into.
That’s kind’ve the point. Very few of these imagined deities are even worthy of worship despite being fabricated as the “ultimate” being.
I’m confused. Are you arguing that AOC is or isn’t for the people?
It’s number two
There’s one of the problems. I don’t need enough food for a family of four. I need you to give me an appropriate amount of food for one human being for $6.
Don’t forget Blu-ray!
If you have calm discussions and listen, you will absolutely 100% see that most people are actually quite alright. Even if they dont like trans people, they will eventuelly get there, by having discussions and chats and seeing them in the real world.
Respectfully, you have no idea what you’re talking about. I live in Texas and I am surrounded by the conservative mindset. There is a chittering madness about these people that causes them to frenzy any time something triggers them as being “woke” or “trans” or in any way challenging to their narrow world-view. They cannot be reasoned with, I have tried far too long with no effect. Their beliefs are couched in white christonationalism and the stupid masses having their stupid beliefs vindicated by bad actors in positions of power.
These people do not feel that anyone unlike them has the right to live the way they want. They WANT to strip trans people of their rights. Pleading for empathy has fallen on empty ears and the ONLY thing that is providing any clarity to these morons is when they themselves are hurt by the stupidity they have summoned. The only time I have heard anyone from the conservative side second guess their vote is when it started to impact them personally. Not when billionaires were immediately given tax cuts, not when children were forcibly taken from their parents, not when first amendment rights violations are being codified into law, not when people have literally been vanished off the streets. None of it matters to them.
You may consider what it is you’re looking to get out of an MMORPG before you just jump in. Speaking as someone who played MMOs for about a decade (mostly WOW, but several others as well), you would be surprised how insidiously that type of game can alter your habits. Also, MMORPGs could be absolutely mind numbing at the height of their popularity, modern MMOs are so heavily streamlined that I would argue many aren’t even all that fun to play anymore.
I’m not saying MMOs are bad, or that you won’t enjoy them, but maybe just think about what the fun you’re seeking looks like.
