Republicans (or Evangelicals, who’ve taken over) only support Israel because it’s a required part of bringing about Armageddon, so they can all go and get in on the rapture and the liberals can be left to burn in hell.

Division of Church and State seems to be yet another bit of the Founding Father’s documents they do seem to ignore.
