I think there’s a fine line between collaboration and committee (members of a band can collaborate to make good music). But capitalism definitely works against art.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I'd like to ask everyone, which movie have you rewatched more than three times?
2·6 months agoFifth Element was at the top of my movies that I would stop and watch when scrolling cable channels alongside Top Secret, Clue, and Shawshank.

News@lemmy.world•'Worst of the Worst'? DOJ Figures Show 97.4% of 614 Detained Immigrants in Chicago Had No Criminal Record
8·10 months agoIt’s even worse if they’re using “criminal record” the same way the FBI has historically (arrested but not necessarily convicted on a felony charge).
I don’t have up to date numbers, but c.2016 the FBI considered ~29% of Americans to have a criminal record.

World News@lemmy.world•Video game workers in North America now have an industry-wide unionEnglish
1·1 year agoIf you’re in a union already, that is not something that can generally be asked about by management, both at hiring or during your employment. Being in a union is not the same as being in a unionized workplace.
When employees of a store/factory/etc decide to unionize, there’s a point at which a specific larger union can be chosen to represent them (AFL-CIO, IBEW, Teamsters, etc). If successful, this is what allows for collective bargaining led by a union representative.

Honestly though, if he can preemptively put sufficient funds into escrow dedicated to managing all aspects of the site and engineering plans for digging with minimal perturbation of each waste cell, then let him have it*.
