  • The US, or any country in fact, is unlikely to give up a chunk of its land because some civilians have machine guns.

I think they’d rather flatten it before considering doing so.

Lets say California through Texas want to have a rebellion. How long do you think it’s going to last after the army blockades all the freeways and imposes a curfew.

Believe me I’d sleep a lot easier believing that if the government goes too far we can topple it. But when was the last time you saw something like that happen without the support of the military or the vast vast majority of the population in support.

And the American people will not rally together due to their strong allegiance to their respective political party

  • Initially I had a similar view until I learned of the following 3 things:

    • Palestinians signing the Oslo after which the Israeli prime minister was assassinated by an Israeli ultranationalist.

    • The Palestinian government in the West Bank put down their weapons and still get attached by settlers and the IDF and imprisoned with essentially no rights.

    • The Israelis are literally murdering them by the hundreds

Also seems like these people are just protesting for peace and are saying so whatever we just want peace. Yet the title of the article doesn’t focus on that

  • Dude you’re misunderstanding this.

The French punishers can sue Facebook in the US for violating their copyright. But since Facebook also operates in France, they can sue them there. It’s that simple.

Copyright law is pretty powerful and generally global. If you write a book in France in French, I can’t translate and sell it in the US.

So the punishers can sue in the US but they’d probably not win. Facebook operating in France means it is subject to french laws and can be sued there.

  • I understand that. But building chargers using their ports is an option and will be something that happens. It just answers the customers of other OEMs of whether to charge their cars now. And even if Tesla controls a significant portion of the charging infrastructure now there’ll be others that build chargers with that standard with time. And I’m sure there was some closed door agreement they came up with on pricing
