You must be new around these parts. Facebook (and the rest of big tech) are monopolists. For the past ~26 years, the tech industry has been using illegal anticompetitive tactics to suppress competition and destroy potential competitors. The government has done nothing, because they’re stupid and think “big = good”.

An example is Instagram. It was a start up that was growing rapidly, and actually became a threat to Facebook. What did Facebook do? They placed a massive bid to buy the company at like 10x their actual market value. It’s an offer so huge that every investor in Instagram would support the deal even if the founders were against it.

A sane government would see that as an obvious anticompetitive decision, and block the merger. Facebook should instead use that money to improve their own product and compete fairly. Obviously, that didn’t happen, the merger went through, and Facebook is still the owner of Instagram. Users and the tech industry at large are worse off.

Look at TikTok’s huge success. If they weren’t a Chinese company, they probably would have met a similar fate. Unfortunately for Facebook, they weren’t allowed to buy a Chinese company.

And people are now getting emails saying that their phone will never arrive, with no mention of them getting their deposits back.

Not sure if you’re trolling, or have been living under a rock. This new controller is the same as the Steam Deck layout, which has been extremely successful and well received.

I’ve had mine not since launch, but for many years. I use it occasionally, mostly as a curiosity, but can’t reliably get used to it long term. Do you play many action games with it? I find 3D camera controls are too awkward for me.

Making levels in Blender feels a little backwards

Why? That’s a perfectly valid way to do it, and it’s generally the approach “power users” take. The feature set in an engine’s level editor can’t really compete with dedicated tools. For example, in Blender you can make use of geometry nodes for creating procedural content. Big (or at least funded) studios typically use Houdini.

I recently tried playing it again, and I wouldn’t say it’s “trash”. Yes, they completely dropped the ball on the exploration part of their exploration game, but the meat and bones of a Bethesda RPG are still in there. It’s a good time for anyone bored of replaying Skyrim and/or Fallout if you get it on sale.
