Out of curiosity, what would you plug those into to get the best use of them? I couldn’t imagine the headphone jack on my motherboard would be able to take full advantage of them.

hactar42@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your favorite thing that anyone has done out of pure spite?4·27 days agoBack around this time I was in the military and each base had Public Folders in Outlook where people could post stuff for sale. I left my computer unlocked one day and one of my colleagues posted my car for free on there. This was also back when you would have like 25 MB mailbox limits. Needless to say my inbox got filled up in minutes.

But I’m starting to come around since What We Do in the Shadows. I also never had a problem with her voice acting.
Might as well throw some Artax memes in while we’re at it

And maybe the used condom joke at the very beginning.

I have a child with special needs and it’s been a struggle to get him the services he is legally entitled to. Now without the Dept of Education things are only going to get worse.
I wish you well and hope you can get out soon.

hactar42@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What hidden song gems would you recommend people check out?1·6 months agoWhirlwind - The Gits (recorded in 1993 released in 2000)
The Gits are one of the best bands to come out of Seattle in the early 90s. I feel like they could have been up there with the greats if their lead singer Mia Zapata wasn’t murdered.
This song in particularl is a perfect example of how awesome they were. It has that early 90s Seattle grunge sound but with a more punk edge. They never officially recorded this song and this live recording wasn’t officially released until 2000.
Full disclosure this is the first I’ve heard of this and only read the linked Wikipedia article.
With that said I don’t think it was justified at all. Yes her parents sounded overbearing and abusive, but I don’t think that condones them being murdered. She was 24 years old and had been working as a waitress to buy books and crap to make it look like she was going to school. All the while dating a guy who managed a restaurant and sold weed.
Why didn’t she just leave and move out on her own? There were multiple other ways for her to get out of that situation yet she chose murder.

About once a month our boss would give us the key for the weekend and we’d play Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, and Red Alert 2 for 12-18 hours straight while pounding back Mountain Dew Code Red.
hactar42@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Which fictional character's death affected you most?4·7 months agoI had a similar experience with RDR2. I knew Arthur was going to die on that last mission. However, I was not prepared for my horse to die. I found the white Arabian around the start of chapter 3, and it was the only horse I used after. On subsequent play throughs I would just grab a random horse before doing that mission.

In the episode he did on it he had to borrow it from Pat the NES Punk. Of course that was 14 years ago, so I assume he could have gotten his hands on them since.
