Why is it so easy for then to spout garbage and get money, but when I do it they call the police?

I love a good e-ink device, but this seems performative. FFS, just get a dumb phone.
Microsoft to shareholders: “But it was slightly cheaper!”
See? You and me need a Lemmy community.
The Long Kiss Goodnight - retcon it as a prequel to the Bourne trilogy and it’s 10 times better. It’s already top quality late 90’s action cheese.
Spice World is madcap mania. Recent Flop House episode about it. It’s the only movie I ever watched, rewound, and watched again.
VHF, staring Weird Al Yankovick. It’s a genuine shame no one else said this. Are people OK?
Josie and the Pussycats. Replace “sell CDs” with “Spotify” and literally nothing changes.
Brother, im here with you.
Hard agree. Lemmy could do with a touch of woo.
Cast iron
Hot sauce recipes
Conspiracy weirdness, ghosts and shit
…maybe not in that order.
Absolutely. It would be more “allowable” if you didn’t call them employees, that’s your error here.
People can still sign contracts that dictate their actions. Only allow them the options of uniforms to wear, that’s easy. You just have to work out non-financial motivators.
Call it an immersive experience, call it an acting workshop retreat, recruit people you can convince it’s all real, say it’s a reality show and film it (or don’t!). Tons of legal options to not pay people for their time and motivate then to behave a certain way, all without just making it a straight up cult compound situation.
Boomers for sure did, leaded gasoline began being used before Boomers were even born.
What likely leads to greater exposure is how many cars there were by the 70s and 80s. But lead exposure is cumulative over a lifetime. So I would be curious to see that research, as Boomers had roughly 40 years of exposure from 1950s to 1994. Gen X wouldn’t have that much by decades.
Yeah, their WWII PTSD really boosted the canned food craze. But the Boomers (no pun intended) ate it up, and carried it along and put it all in plastic.
These people were obsessed with eating canned food. They thought that they could make it palatable with stuff like slathering it in mayonnaise or suspending it in jello.
Boomers are sociopaths. Years of leaded gas exposure gave them lifelong cognitive decline and propensity towards erratic behavior.
No, sorry, we can’t flirt. You are only allowed to send blast DMs calling yourself the Fediverse Chick/Dude/Person.
As someone that almost drown in a ripcurrent off of Ghana and Sao Tome very sober both times, it can happen very quickly, and you need help before you even understand what’s happening. In places where beaches aren’t huge and the shelf drops off quickly, you don’t realize you’re on the edge of a dangerous area because it’s unmarked.
You’re a baby made out of sugar? What an incredible job.
I guess that explains being the Gulf region, it doesn’t rain much there. Otherwise you’d melt.
I re-watched a few episodes recently. I agree that it’s simply not going to resonate with anyone younger than a Millennial. There was a lot of cultural context and subtexts that made sense at the time that will absolutely be lost on Zoomers.
Just go straight to Idiocracy. It doesn’t need prologue any more than Office Space would.
It was because that was mentioned by the original post as why they picked all blue. Which was largely about the GDPR specifically. So I went for it on that one item.
I appreciate it, and I threw this together in about 10 minutes, so it’s just a spitball idea. Rather than seeming purely disparaging to the other person and their design by saying I don’t like it and not offering anything else constructive.
I mean, I can think of a few black flags that are iconic.
Not to mention the band Black Flag.
