Taking things online only gives the illusion of safety - especially in places like Facebook. If ‘they’ really want you, your home address is only a subpoena or two away.

Nope - not Onion.
I know… but they still gave me the illusion that I owned the game :(
I wish it wasn’t so tragic, so I could laugh at people who couldn’t vote for Harris because Biden didn’t single-handedly stop the genocide.
Fuuuuuuuu…
Where am I going to buy my games now? Sometimes it’s still nice to own the disk.
The main problem is that people don’t understand that the Vice President does not set monetary policy. Neither does the President. The Federal Reserve is supposed to be completely immune to political pressure. Fortunately, King Donald will do his best to put an end to that.
I happen to believe that the current policy was correct, and averted even worse problems - but that does not happen in a matter of months. If Trump somehow fails to fudge up the trajectory we are on, he will get to take credit for policies enacted during Biden’s presidency (again, not by Biden, but nobody will care).
Last Trump, there was a pretty good way to predict who would get what position: Pick an agency, and google ‘tried to sue <insert agency here>’.
Agreed.
Would it be nicer if we lived in a multi party system? Probably. Do we? No. Voting as though we are is not useful (maybe unless you live in a state that you are 100% certain can not be flipped).
If you hate one candidate even slightly less than the other, for example because the former has not yet stated that they want to punish colleges that allow pro Palestine demonstrations, vote for that first one.
Isn’t that precisely what the article said?
Thank you for pointing that out! I always thought it looked interesting, but somehow thought that it was only available on Steam - and my PC is not up to the task. Just bought it for the PS5.
They are, however, aces at reiterating the problem.
They might be at ‘evangelically’ child free folks.
German Lutheran. We don’t go for strong feelings.
For sure. I think if I had to fly these days, I would feel vaguely uneasy if I ended up in a Boeing.
I’m guessing that was the rationale for sending it back unmanned?
I think informed consent is key - and I know I would give mine for the right sum, unless a family member called first dibs. I am planning to be cremated and a few ounces of ashes more or less won’t make a difference.
I can hardly see any other way to obtain a human skull ethically. If the seller is honest, they should make the signed consent form available to the buyer upon request.
In the same vein (and at least as dangerous): “Pain is just weakness leaving the body.” No, you testosterone poisoned numb-nuts - it is your body’s way of telling you that something is not right. Stop and listen!
I don’t think I have ever heard it called that. Very apt, though.
Heh. They sure will be greatly astonished once the first US troops ship to Israel. It’s OK, because Israel is not in the NATO.
