Not surprising it’s already ahead, as about 20 years ago they offered 100mbps to anyone who could pay for it (a certain Danny Choo comes to mind).
Not new either. There is no such thing as “normal” to me, because one will have so much privilege versus someone who doesn’t have any. For one, there was the Chinese Exclusion Act more than a century ago.
21·22 days agoSome of the studies on smoking I’ve seen were less about understanding how and why people consume tobacco and recommend alternatives, and more like echoing the old practices and beliefs of the temperance movement, which considers tobacco and alcohol as archenemies of humanity. That anytime there’s someone publicly declaring they quit smoking, it’s followed with praises which at times reminiscent of a tent revival.

Not just that, being a game dev is difficult right now where high turnovers are almost everywhere, and always have to keep the CV current and ready in case the suits start telling they’re cutting out jobs.
