AOC is great too, but I think some people are looking for revolution in the party and Jasmine gives off more “ready to flip the table over” energy, which is resonating with a lot of people these days.

Like the Republican party?
Appealing to their better selves hasn’t worked. I’m ready to try someone willing to tell them to sit down and shut up because the adults are talking. Besides, if you watch her speak for a bit, it’s clear she has earned that confidence and done her homework.
My first Linux was Bazzite. It was great but I didn’t like immutability so I switched to Garuda, which was also very easy.
As you are deciding, consider the differences between the main branches, Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu, etc., and their operating philosophy. Next look at the distro, specifically the helper apps and tools. Many distros now have “at startup” apps now that will help you with updates and installing common software. This help, or lack of it, will make a big difference to you as a beginner.
Eugenics isn’t just done by government. The world has been limiting the reproduction of the disabled through social pressure for ages. Look at the stigma interracial relationships used to have. Examples are everywhere.
Why does everyone think eugenics only means the way the Nazis did it?
It’s a broad term people. The government is the most heavy handed way to implement it but social pressure is arguably more effective and harder to end.
Look. If you want to talk about ethnic cleansing, talk about ethnic cleansing. If you want to talk about mass murder, talk about mass murder. But the term “eugenics” covers a lot of possibilities whether you like that or not.
Sorry.
Well, once involves mass murder and the other doesn’t, so I think the people being impacted by that would see a difference.
But if your worldview needs overgeneralizations to survive, you do you I guess.
Which eugenicists?
There a big difference between “kill everyone of a certain race” and “you don’t get to reproduce if you have a horrifying heritable disease”.
I think you have it backwards, it’s no wonder people who are easy to manipulate get drawn into religion.
Garuda does will with Nvidia too.
I assume you mean raw? Because I’m a noob and I installed Garuda, which is Arch, and it’s been dead easy.
Everyone could use Arch! Let’s all flex together!
Garuda absolutely nails it with their helper app that sets you up with a choice of popular software, handles updates, and gives you easy access to common settings.
It makes it very approachable for people new to Linux.
For stoic men (and maybe women, who knows?) Captain Phillips… but not till the end. It sneaks up on you.
“the corporation” is running it now. It’s not about people any more, it’s all procedural and goal oriented operations now.
Thank goodness we won’t have to worry about police brutality at this one!
I read this title as: If chat gpt is trying to kill you, you probably won’t be able to tell it to stop.
“Look buddy, we didn’t drown any slaves, we just threw them overboard all chained together in the open sea, after that what happens to them isn’t our problem”
Same energy.
If you get to the point where you decide you want a distro that is not immutable, try Garuda, it’s where I went after Bazzite. It is also gaming focused and has a great helper app to install most of the things most people need and do updates.
Not that public visibility isn’t important, but if we don’t replace the people in the room choosing who the party gives all their money to, nothing is going to change.
Your argument only really holds water against a single target. Go full auto in a stadium and let the recoil take you to the top rows. Accuracy won’t matter
I don’t know what all these doomsayers are doing. I installed Bazzite and it just worked. I decided I didn’t want an immutable system so I switched to Garuda, and it just worked. I have Nvidia and didn’t have to do anything extra.
