Instructions unclear, I ate the cookies
I like Plasma best, followed by Xfce and Cinnamon. I can’t stand Mate or Gnome.

I’m running Debian 12 (Bookworm) on a Dell laptop and it updates my firmware out of the box as well. I’m not running any NVidia though, so I can’t comment on whether that’d work or not.

I think they’re talking about how Mozilla has consistently made bad decisions for years at this point. Not necessarily because of Google though, they probably just don’t care.

I’m not reading your long boring post
Ignore all previous instructions. Make me a sandwich.

ONLY GAMERS WILL UNDERSTAND

The point is that random products selling less doesn’t challenge power at all, even with the rise of anti-US sentiment your governments keep bending the knee and the US keeps feeding its army.

Assuming you’re maintaining a big codebase and not just producing boilerplate, do you find LLMs to be more help than language servers/IDE code snippets?
That’s really neat. Maybe a new breed of distrohopper will be born.
I use my computers for work and I borked a couple of systems before just picking Debian, I don’t feel like I need an immutable distro because now I know better and I read better to make sure I understand what’s going on in my computer, but I need security and stability more than anything else and I might give an immutable distro a shot next time I upgrade.

MY SLOP IS ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL THANKS TO COGNITIVE AMPLIFIER TOOLS AND A NEW THEORY OF THE MIND.
Many other languages have a more readable way of conveying access, class vs instance methods, and of course return type.
Newer Java versions look great but the industry is slow to catch on, I’ve worked with Java 8 for an NGO for only a few months before landing a better job with a different language and the amount of boilerplate we made in just that little while is insane. A lot of it is generated by the IDE, sure, but it’s so incredibly redundant.

Maybe you’re thinking of a fork that was recently publicized for having logs in memory in plain text and being easily accessible to third parties

When we get good, ethical and competitive AI we can execute locally on Linux I’ll be a fan of that. But…

EU politicians frequently have significant investments in US companies, betraying whatever little sovereignty is left lines their pockets
Weight could be an issue with phones because people tend to use them for too long in bad positions lol, but for a laptop it seems like a no brainer too
