It depends, If say it was JK Rowling that she is 100% public amount wanting to harm trans people (including trans kids) including using her money to fund that. Then Yes I wouldn’t like it, If it’s just something minor then probably not, Depends how close to home it comes really but I rather educate than through hate.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Anybody else block Lemmit.Online spambot?
4·8 months agoIt is pretty spamming, sadly it’s one of the ways people see people possibly moving to platforms like Lemmy (and the rest of the Fediverse) when the platforms like Reddit become more enshitified, there’s got to be a better way than a bot that spams out.
I could at least say it’s a bit more okay if it was on muted or something by default but still then it’s pretty bad. I want to interact with actual people.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are Americans so whiny, reactive, and hypocritical? Above all, ignorant of the rest of the world.
2·9 months agoIt’s all they’ve been taught, they’ve been taught to be selfish and that America is the only country to care about, if you don’t believe in god and America then you are in the wrong, should be wiped out of the earth because you have sinned.
I’ve only done limited research into this as I often don’t get into Economy stuff but this seems like a okay community, but obviously check it out and see if you can ask questions and stuff in it but don’t see why you can’t
It’s not a bad way to get started, I’d suggest to find some communities you are interested in and begin to post content on them if they don’t get much content as it will show others that you are interested in that topic but also feed well for others looking for the content in the future.
It’s all good, yeah it’s a little different than your traditional social media as instead of going for reactions and pushing out content you actually need to communicate and talk instead of just pushing random posts more of the time to grow an actually connected audience
Post, Talk and communicate with people.
As you use the Fediverse you will slowly see regular people pop up, talk to them, especially those you’ve enjoyed talking to in the past or have something interesting to say to.
The Fediverse is about communication and sharing ideas so do that, This can be done through posting in communities or commenting on posts in communities / topics you are interested in.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People are actually paying to wear an ad?
3·11 months agoThis is the main reason I hate branded clothing, With moth clothing they have branding on it and it’s just an advert to the clothing brand. I personally hate this and try and find brands that are rather hidden / hard to see but also cost effective for me as I can’t afford something super expensive especially for somethings small like clothing.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why doesn't Lemmy have a back button?
2·1 year agoI have more than just autism, I have morbid anxiety. Due to both of these I can’t really imagine body language and things, sure I’ve got better with it in person but most of the time if they are telling me to go somewhere then it’s most likely as they fucking hate my or don’t understand that I won’t get they are joking.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Looking for a free speech Lemmy instance
111·1 year agoMost instances don’t allows spread of misinformation especially about minorities such as trans people. You’d be better off creating your own instance if you want to have 100% control over what you see.
For more information about that topic here’s an article about it: https://www.gendergp.com/new-report-confirms-trans-athletes-do-not-have-biomedical-advantage-in-elite-sport/

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Looking for a free speech Lemmy instance
9·1 year agoWhat is wrong with the instance you are currently on if I may ask?
The word Free Speech is often used to allow for hate / bigotry towards minorities in current day. So it’ll good to know what you are actually looking for.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Looking for a free speech Lemmy instance
5·1 year agoI’m unsure if there is an instance like that especially as you can’t force for something is completely open to anything being said from federating with everyone. You are probably better off creating your own Lemmy server tbh.
No I think I wouldn’t have met half the people I have today including partners. The internet can be an amazing place but sadly there’s those that make it bad, it’s one of the reasons I’m on the Fediverse pushing for a better internet with interaction instead of hatred
