I would be curious to hear back from the OP. Did any of this advice resonate? Three years later, what’s your story today?
I ask largely because I landed in this thread while searching for my own similar challenges and am interested in knowing what worked and didn’t. I’m also just plain interested in how a fellow human being is doing with what seemed like a challenging point in their life.

Added to my reading list but the synopsis is interesting. The Shallows - What the internet is doing to our brains, by Nicholas Carr.

Not incoherent at all and I appreciate you taking the time to interrupt your beauty sleep to respond. ;)
This technology space has a lot of promise but knowing when it is really ready for prime time is difficult to discern with all the hype. Sounds like it is close, or fully useable depending on use case.
You hit all the key points so no follow up questions. Thanks!

Not the purpose of the thread I know but would you care to share additional information? Model, price, comfort, compatibility, are they good?

Awesome!

If anything were possible, I have always liked AE van Vogt’s fictional weaponry:
In “The Weapon Shops of Isher”, the defensive weapons sold by the shops are advanced ray guns with integrated force fields, making them highly effective against government and criminal threats. These weapons ensure citizens can defend themselves against tyranny and oppression while upholding a policy of non-aggression, aiming to foster a more just government over time.
The weapons can somehow be used to defend but not be used in an act of aggression. And the force field protects the bearer.
A fun read if you are into golden age science fiction.
I have had two for many years and both are working fine. I bought the second because they introduced a waterproof version. Still use both 10? years later. This could tip me to buying a third with colour.
