Every war is won with 10% weapons and 90% logistics, and a pinch of field intelligence. In a domestic conflict, the “territory” is the same for both parties; it’s very hard to defend a logistics system (the “tail” of your military operation) when it’s in the ‘contested’ territory itself. I think in cases like this, I’d rather the responsibility of burden be shifted towards individuals with autonomy than to large corporations. But I suppose in that case (reductionism warning) people might as well just use Linux.
