Some of those picks are questionable (like Ball x Pit, Kirby Air Riders, Deadlock and maybe The Drifter too), but there is some stuff in there I don’t recognize.

Ubisoft is actually the worst possible video game corporation.
They almost never make a game that’s worthy of anyone’s time, their business practices are scummy, they kill off their games and tell people to get used to not owning them, treat their workers like shit and their stock price is in the gutter so not even the wallstreet ghouls benefit from how awful they are.
It’s incredible.

The article reports that Xbox didn’t have any deals, at all. Playstation is reported to be cheaper than it’s pre-hike price.

They don’t seem nearly as good as people claim though. I can’t comment on their quality with certainty because I didn’t play any of them besides Crash Bandicoot but at least their newer games seem very unimpressive to me.

I was so happy when Silksong released, thinking I wouldn’t have to hear about it again for a long time. Here we fucking go again…

I would’ve prefered getting Mega Man Legends 3 instead since they, you know, made most of the game already. But I wouldn’t say no to this one.
I hope Raptor Computing sticks around. If I manage to get a well paying job I’d love to move on to the POWER ISA on desktop and a Fairphone with Ubuntu Touch.
I know it’s exteremely expensive (I mean the POWER desktop) but with the recent Android news I believe the time for compromise has passed. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to do so should adopt fully open hardware whenever possible.
I don’t think this is it, a lot of people were ok with that. The problem is drivers, they seemingly never matured enough to get the device to a usable state. Why?
Except it absolutely did. Sure, it got hardware in the hands of developers, but that effort didn’t amount to anything. Pinebook paved the way for Pinebook Pro, which made good on company’s promise of an open, affordable, low power laptop for Linux enthusiasts.
This never materialized with Pinephone, it didn’t even mature enough to satisfy most of the early adopters, who for the most part only wanted reliable calling and texting.
Holy shit, I didn’t even know about that. Damn…
It absolutely failed. Pinebook succeeded, they wanted to build a cheap Chromebook alternative for Linux enthusiasts and they did it. Pinebook Pro was a functional product and it was well received.
Pinephone failed, it made some progress but it never reached a point where a Linux user with basic needs could daily drive it. It seems like Linux phone space moved on to Halium at this point.

It probably aged better than Goldeneye.

Honestly, when I first heard the term “boomer shooter” I thought the games were called that because of the amount of explosions they have. Ion Fury in particular is full of them. It a was a while after I realised that by “boomer” they basically mean “old”.
I think “retro shooter” is the much better term, though “classic” also works.

See, this is why the liveservice model is fundementally bad. Even if they don’t fuck it up on launch, they can always fuck it up later.
Stick to offline folks.

I think that stuff will come later, otherwise I don’t see why they’d have multiple tiers in the first place.

I doubt it, I think there are many great games out there that don’t get noticed because not enough people talk about them. We get a ton of games every year. You can’t rely on word of mouth for your game’s success.

He is one of my favorite YouTubers for sure.

I wish the community promoted these kinds of mobile games instead of bashing all of them collectively.
Yeah, I remember that. They also treat their players like absolute shit in general. But at least Rockstar makes games people enjoy and provides shareholder value. Ubisoft sucks so much they are actively harmful to everyone involved.
