i’m going to call this the hegemony of the rich… but what’s the word for when people adopt the values of their oppressors?

poor is such a weird word… in most cases it just means bad. Poor food quality, poor planning, poor critical thinking skills, etc….
but when we refer to a person, poor means a lack of money?
isn’t it just baking in the notion that impoverished people are bad?

the DNC needs to be completely overhauled or thrown out. Bernie would’ve definitely beat Trump but they actively conspired against him, and then when sued for fraud, claimed they never said they’re actually democratic, in spite of the name… and won in court.

the GOP tried to stop Trump as well, and in spite of being complete pieces of shit, they actually are democratic and couldn’t stop him.

but, as they say, the entire system is stupid and designed to fuck us over.
i see this continuing until the collapse of the usa, and probably the entire planet’s ecosystem

rittenhouse should’ve been federal… but he (supposedly) crossed state lines to enforce the law and ended up murdering someone….

they definitely selectively enforce it, like when some anarchists drove from portland to Seattle in order to spray paint a courthouse during a protest: that became federal charges because they anarchists, mostly….
i was honestly surprised when states were charging luigi instead of the feds at first

luigi, allegedly, traveled across state lines for the sole purpose of the killing, and immediately left the state.
Zapeta-Calil was living in ny and committed a murder while he was there. He didn’t travel there just to burn someone… he was there already and did it….

the interstate aspect of it makes it kinda federal…

i’m pro luigi, anti health industrialization… but yes obviously the doj will charge you for shooting someone.

of course… trump is hella racist and so is america and that’s why he won….
it’s just about impossible for someone to support him without being racist. that’s why when you pin a trump supporter down on “why trump though?” it’s always some bullshit reason, and if you break it down or disprove it, they eventually regress to “i don’t care”.
all their hypocritical outrage over supposed moral violations of the left? they don’t actually care about that… they just want to yell something at the anti-racist people and they can’t get away with overt racism just yet….

you’re entirely correct, but what people are also missing is: if the weather’s nice, getting outside and pushing carts is a welcome break to the fluorescent lights and other drudgery of the store…
anyone who’s ever actually worked a retail job will tell you that going outside every once in a while is pretty nice.
picking up trash in the rain sucks, but pushing a cart is leisurely compared to whatever else they’ll have you do.
