I was informed by the strikers that the primary concern is that each nurse is only supposed to handle a maximum of three patients simultaneously. However, Kaiser has been allowing them to handle five to six patients on average. Consequently, Kaiser is attempting to reduce the number of on-call nurses at a time, effectively overworking them. It’s always about rising profits and Kaiser has a few billion saved to shave off the union.
