It’s still morally wrong in the absolute sense since you’re taking something for free that you’re implicitly expected to pay for. However if there is no way for you to actually pay for it even if you wanted then that makes this one of the clearer cases in which one can morally defend piracy. It’s still not right but it’s less wrong.

The only scenario that I can think of that would be even more clear is when you’ve actually bought the media already but the disc got damaged for example as was the case with my GTA San Andreas back in the day: I had bought the game but the disc exploded in the drive so I was forced to crack it so that I could play without the disc.

I don’t get it either. Seems like mostly just a novelty item. I sometimes get the feeling that smartphones have become pretty much as good as they can get in this current form and manufacturers are just trying to come up with imaginary problems to solve in order to stand out somehow.

Just buy any mid-range Android (or and older iPhone) and you’ll get a great device that does everything it needs to and you can stop thinking about whatever the next year’s release does marginally better than the device you have now and use that mental energy on something else.

Well sure, but it still beats being in a bad relationship. Ideally I’d be with someone who I like being with and who likes being with me but you can’t have it all. Relationships aren’t my #1 priority in life.

I can go days without talking to another human but I don’t think a day go by without me making any sounds. After all, I’m constantly talking to my pet and house spiders and when outside I talk to birds, squirrels and food delivery robots.

You can’t be seriously suggesting that being in a sexual minority is somehow tied to one’s political leaning. Depending on the poll roughly 2 to 9 percent of the US population identify as LGBT. That is of the total population, not just Democrats. The extremists on the far right spouting hatred toward gays don’t represent the right as a whole any more than the far-left antisemites do. They’re simply holding the rest of the group hostage as hardly anybody dares to speak up. The gays on the right are under just as much oppression as the gays on the left - possibly even more.

If you make it a left-wing event you’re by definition excluding everyone not identifying with leftism. It’s one of the few things that should unite the left and the right but instead it gets politicized to the point that even people in that minority like myself turn against the whole Pride ideology.
