The twenty-sixth government of Israel was formed by Shimon Peres of the Labor Party on 22 November 1995, following the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin on 4 November. Peres kept the same coalition as previously, namely the Labor Party, Meretz and Yiud, which together held only 58 of the 120 seats in the Knesset. However, the government was also supported, but not joined, by Hadash and the Arab Democratic Party, which held an additional five seats between them.[1]

Although the Labor Party won the May 1996 Knesset elections, Peres was narrowly defeated by Binyamin Netanyahu in the country’s first election for Prime Minister, meaning that the Likud leader formed the twenty-seventh government, which he completed on 18 June.

The twenty-seventh government of Israel was formed by Benjamin Netanyahu of Likud on 18 June 1996. Although his Likud-Gesher-Tzomet alliance won fewer seats than Labor, Netanyahu formed the government after winning the country’s first ever direct election for Prime Minister, narrowly defeating incumbent Shimon Peres.

Together with Likud-Gesher-Tzomet, Netanyahu also included Shas, the National Religious Party, Yisrael BaAliyah, United Torah Judaism and the Third Way in the government, with the coalition holding 66 of the 120 seats in the Knesset.[1] The government was also supported, but not joined, by the two-seat Moledet faction. Gesher left the coalition on 6 January 1998, but the government remained in place until 6 July 1999, when Ehud Barak formed the twenty-eighth government after defeating Netanyahu in the 1999 election for Prime Minister.

  • They had past a law last year never to accept it.

But the whole Oslo process and past 30 years were a lie already as Israel has expanded its ethnic cleansing and settlements ever since. This also isnt an issue of the “far right”. The settlements and ethnic cleansings continued as much under “social democratic” governments. Zionism is a fascist ideology of ethnic cleansing and extermination and it is shared by all relevant Israeli parties. There is no Zionist left. They are fascists with token LGBT rights.

  • The difference is that Trump is saying the quiet part out loud.

Biden/Harris never even bothered to push Israel for a ceasefire. When Biden wamted some election optics he demanded Israel to end the blockade in September 2024 and demanded 1000 aid trucks per day. Israel didnt even let in a quarter of that and had their local ISIS affiliated Abu Shabab gang rob the UN trucks. Of course Biden didnt back up any of his threats.

Trump pushed for a ceasefire so his inauguration would look good, which lead to a two month reprise for the people of Gaza, who would otherwise all be murdered with starvation by now.

A lot of his base is furious that Trump now is also doing the bidding of the Zionist lobby, but there is no reason to believe why Biden, who proclaimed himself as a loyal Zionist and Harris who proclaimed to continue his legacy, wouldn’t be doing even more to help Israel “finish the job” now. They just dont say it like this in the same way how they didnt talk so loud about their deportation numbers to the liberal voters when they continued Trumps deportation regime.

  • The US has been an oligarchy much longer. Wild propaganda, ranging from seeing negro-communist-marijuana smokers everywhere to the nonstop justifications for invasions, coups and mass slaughters outside the US has been integral to the US at least in the past one hundred years. American media has never been honest and always been a tool of propaganda, see manufacturing consent by Herman and Chomsky.

This has been going on well before Trump and unless there is an actual revolution, it will continue after Trump.

  • If they know better and there is no legit difficulty in not buying it then yes.

There is no reason why you would have to buy Coca Cola, McDonalds or other trashfood supporting genocide. There is no reason why you would have to buy Israeli anything. There is no reason why you would have to buy brands a Reebok or pay for Microsoft games.

Your employer forcing you to use Microsofot for work is a different matter.

If you do nonetheless, where you have no need to, you are choosing to support genocide and that makes you a terrible person and in a just world you would have to face criminal charges for it and have your money taken away to compensate the victims.
