It’s hard to choose an absolute favorite, but I really like First Steps from Celeste.
Final Fantasy, if i remember correctly - the time loop is broken so basically none of the bad stuff ever happened.
Sure it does - it doesn’t really make sense to separate Lemmy, Piefed, and Mbin as separate Reddit alternatives, since you can generally access the same stuff from all three of them. Although arguably it would make sense to say “the threadiverse” since most of the other fediverse software isn’t really Reddit-like.
The ceilings must be really low.
Oh, a list of things each identified by a different letter, better put them in a completely random order.
In his book Rationality, Steven Pinker says that the way we mentality categorize things is not by a strict definition, but with a number of properties that make things more it less like the category. So it’s like, if it has green vegetables, it’s more likely to be a salad, if it’s served hot is less likely, etc. This avoids issues like this where trying to strictly define things leads to absurd results. I think he even used salad as an example in the book.
It’s like in the Beach Boys song “Good Vibrations”.
Don’t have a cow, man.
i think they are great when they are able to provide variety in terms of gameplay, challenge etc, as opposed to just being different layouts. My first thought is roguelikes and roguelites - Some of my favorite games are Binding of Isaac and Spelunky, which do it really well, and I still play the original roguelikes like Angband sometimes.
I think that might be too much of a spoiler 😄
In the book, it kept the same mass and got a lot bigger. And of course much brighter.
Nearing the end of When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi, which came out a few months ago. It’s a bit silly but I’d recommend it. The premise can be summed up as, “What would happen if the moon turned into cheese?”
Looks like your post didn’t make it to their server.
I wasn’t affected by this directly, but from what I saw it was all handled extremely well - lots of notice so users could choose new instances and mods could coordinate moving communities elsewhere. Makes me optimistic for the fediverse.
Durian 😈
