I don’t like anyone in the line of succession, but they at least largely lack the charisma, or whatever it is, that Trump has to attract his base.

It is, at best, another draw on the Uno pile. Then we just hope we didn’t buy the “Oops all Hitler’s” set.

All it would take is one brave McDonald’s worker…

Though I’m picturing Stephen Miller as Trump’s “McD’s taster” and he makes him taste every fillet-o-fish first before eating it himself.

        In which case, win/win.

… and the rest of the US government just stands there like an idiot

This orange idiot doesn’t have any power … only the power that is given to him, offered to him or allowed to him. He isn’t an all powerful God-King … it’s an entire organization of people in government that allow all this idiocy to happen.

This leader just represents everything wrong with American government. What a bunch of idiots. I wouldn’t mind all this if it would just affect America but these morons are on track to destabilize the entire world.

I don’t know, our influence isn’t exactly a good thing at the moment but most of the rest of the world seems to be doing a pretty good job of destabilizing on its own. We’re just further down the path than they are.

The longer this is allowed to go on the more I find myself rooting for a military coup where they just purge 80% of the (remaining) government and all of the billionaire class that brought this on and we just start over.

Military coup = christian nationalist death squads targeting brown and queer people and then leftists who dont fight back. Not really something to ultimately wish for

“If I had to enact it, I’d do that. If people were being killed and courts were holding us up or governors or mayors were holding us up, sure, I’d do that. I mean, I want to make sure that people aren’t killed. We have to make sure that our cities are safe,” he added.

But people already are being killed. By ICE.

Ha. Bastard will invoke the Insurrection act for a related cause in 1992, human rights for minority populations.

But the only thing getting damaged this time is the fascist ego.

There are no buissnes being looted. The only assaults are federal enforcement, and the only arson so far has been MAGA on a judge’s home.

His invasion of Chicago isn’t going as they hoped. The government shut down without the ability to confidently restart it. Trump’s body is probably more grafted sacrificial children and cybernetic implants keeping him barely alive. There’s a looming economic crash. Inflation is beyond his control and it’s all on purpose and the people know it.

Yep. If he was competent, he would have declared the insurrection act in January, maybe early February after building up a casus belli

He could have ridden that momentum all the way through, by the time people got upset they’d be afraid

Now? It’s too late. No one is buying it, no one has an appetite for it. He doesn’t have the momentum to blow past the courts, no one in his administration has the conviction to put their balls on the table, and so we have this weak, performative version of a takeover that appeals to no one

This right here is the setup for another civil war. I think that as long as Trump is president civil war is inevitable.

Unfortunately maiming police officers, threatening to hang the vice president, and smearing poop in the halls of the US capitol are perfectly fine, but existing peacefully in Chicago on any given Tuesday is a crime against humanity

These guys keep pretending certain cities are not safe. Even if they weren’t, what The Annoying Orange is doing is not helping anything.
